I absolutely loved unraveling the rediscovery of a teenage love. The depths of the love between Lily and Atlas are not your typical teenage young love. There is a profound adoration for who they are as individuals and what they mean to each other. This book is a testament to love is patient and demonstrates unconditional love.

This book captures the reality of what a lot of families experience and go through. I felt captivated by the kindness that Russ showed throughout every season in his life as well as the aspect of family values. The development of himself, as a man, and the relationships around him were an emotional roller coaster. This definitely speaks to the value of meaningful people in your corner that will pull you through in the hardest moments.

This book is so heartwarming and a great reminder of the important things in life. I love the authors ability to paint such a vivid picture of every characters personality and how although very different are all very much alike. Sisterhood, family, love, humility, honesty, respect, admiration, are all very present throughout to display the importance of kindness and grace. No questions asked on why this book is considered a classic novel.

Although this was WWII fiction, I enjoyed reading what could have been the perspective, struggle, joys, losses, and everything in between, of those that lived through the war. Through the characters and their virtues or weaknesses it allows you to self reflect on what you would do or whose character resonates with you most. Through the difficulties of war these characters found what they were looking for within themselves and between themselves.

I enjoyed the realness this book conveyed of what real life families look like. The author did a great job at describing how messy, chaotic, infuriating, and unfair life is. Amidst the chaos and life events that took place, no matter how messed up everything was, family was always there. I enjoyed how real this was and it served as a great reminder to accept the good with the bad because when it comes down to it, you only get one family.

I‘ve enjoyed all of Khaled Hosseini‘s books and his ability to story tell. I enjoy the way he demonstrates the realness of Afghan culture through his stories, depicting the struggles, the loss, the change, and the silver lining. This book in particular, is like reading 7 stories all in one. He so eloquently tells the story of multiple characters and ties them together into a beautiful story of hope.

If you‘re looking for motivation or inspiration, this is definitely the book for you. I enjoyed learning about David‘s childhood, adolescence, and adult life, which paved the way for what was to come. His ability to connect his pain and suffering to concepts that would allow him to overcome his struggles and do the unthinkable is exemplary. If you‘re looking to make a comeback, this book will hell you achieve just that.

This story takes you on an emotional roller coaster that pulls at your heart strings. I appreciate Khaled‘s ability to portray the hardships of everyday life for Muslim women in a culture that is dominated by males. He so eloquently tells the story of two brave women who once were adversaries, overcome loss, pain, and betrayal, and demonstrate their loyalty and love for one another in the ultimate act of selflessness.

This book definitely took a lot of patience to read as the story developed very slowly. I personally enjoyed the main characters personality and wittiness in all circumstances. If you enjoy a little spook and a little romance, this is the book for you.
