Both Open Water and Pray touched me in ways I can't explain, this book deserves an award.
Caleb Azumah Nelson writes pure poetry within his stories and everyone needs to read this! I think it should also be used as text for English Literature exams, there is so much content and context to break down and consider within this singluar piece!

My partner read this book and isn't a big reader but when he told me how much he loved this book, of course I had to read it! Bloody incredible, granted I don't know how the candybox returned to the place it did at the end of the book (please can someone explain it??) The rest of the plot was gripping. I found the time lines easier to follow than I thought and my god was I desperate to find out what happened to Margaret 5 Stars all the way!

I don't usually read classics, they never normally live up to the reviews. This one was an exception, beautifully written. I really enjoyed it and this edition is wonderful!

"Don't expect to achieve perfection in an imperfect system"

So warm and easy to read. I needed a light, feel good book and I got just that! It might not be action packed but it does feel like a great friendly hug!

Loved this! I found it fascinating and empowering, highly recommend! (Also watch her Netflix special! It's really good!)

I liked the concept for this book but it was long and didn't really stray from the original order of events until the last 100 pages
