Anyone else having a super wild and crazy Saturday night? 🤣

It feels like forever since I've taken some down time to enjoy a listen and a craft.

Just started reading “Intensity” by Dean Koontz yesterday and I‘m already more than half way through. The title definitely describes how this book is going so far!
I was just gifted with a bunch of books by Dean Koontz! I‘ve never read anything written by him before, but I‘m hoping that I will like at least some of these books! I‘ll be sure to keep you updated:) #litsylove #mystery
Kicking off the #WinterGames2020 with Intensity and The Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated!
Yes, that is snow in my picture!! What a better way to start the #wintergames than with snow overnight!
Today was a snow day for the kids too!

The 2003 remake is one of my favorite horror movies and that is partially due to the amazing final girl. The book features another strong female character and is equally suspenseful.

This was my introduction book to Dean Koontz and I figured it was time for a reread. The title says it all!
I didn‘t really know what to pick for an ugly cover. So I guess I‘ll go with... boring?

Although Koontz can get carried away with descriptions, I can definitely confirm that this book lived up to the title. I doubt it could've been achieved with anything less than what Koontz described so I won't hold it against him. I do wish there had been more to Vess but overall a good book.
🦄🦄🦄🦄 4 unicorns.
Anyone watched this? I'm halfway through with the book but I LOVE seeing a movie or series after. I did hear there was a blatant theft of concept for a movie called High Tension. May have to watch both.
Finally ripping off the bandaid and giving this a go. I've been avoiding it and reading smaller novels because my last Koontz took me awhiiiiiiiile. #Phantoms Fingers crossed I finish this before the little one arrives 👶
I always enjoy Dean Koontz‘s novels. You always get into the action right away. I started this book while on vacation in Seattle. I had just finished one book and picked this up to read a chapter or two before going to sleep. I should have known better. I was up until 3am. (And you get a picture of me with my sister‘s girlfriend‘s cat because I don‘t have one of the book.)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sorry my pictures aren‘t prettier. I‘m at a hotel. I thought about using my view as a background for the book but the blackout curtain was actually a pain in the butt to close. This picture is hanging in my room. Better than the plain white sheets.

This book was definitely intense. But I'm glad to be done with it. It just made me uncomfortable from beginning to end.
1. Trick or treat with my daughters
2. Black cats
3. Read a spooky story and then watch a scary movie
4. I remember reading Intensity by Dean Koontz and loving it. It creeped me out.

What is it about women in peril that makes for blockbusters? Reading this book made me think of Emily Nussbaum‘s editorial on Law and Order: SVU. Read it if you haven‘t: “Trauma Queen.”
Starting this #koontz tonight. Loved Phantoms so I'm giving this author another spin around the dance floor.
I've heard it's scary! 😬🍷🦖

Aptly named. I felt anxious from start to finish. One of the few thrillers I've read that was actually thrilling.
Day 29:A Book📖when I need the day to myself-I received this book from my Amazing🛥CC while I was in the ⚓️USCG🌊;during a time when he knew how much someone like me would appreciate the company of a good book📚, & I still find myself reaching for it after all these years sometimes just to read it & remember his kindness🙂💙 #SurvivingDecember #BookTherapy #PhotoChallenge #Day29
Thinking about rereading this, but my son wants to give it a shot, so I'll wait. This book scared me like no other. I had nightmares and couldn't stop thinking about it. #badmomaward 😁
Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of this book. The only photo that I could find that would fit is blurry, so apologies for that. I found this years ago on the bookshelf of a vacation rental property on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The book title is perfect! I will never forget how petrified I felt reading this. The main character is a serial killer and is without a doubt #insaneinthebrain !😬#90sinjuly

These are a few of my many #horror shelves, but this shelf is primarily dedicated to mass markets, which were almost all bought secondhand for $1 or less and are definitely "well loved" in appearances. I don't add to this collection often these days, because I like mass markets less and less the older I get.

The books are waiting patiently for the speed dating event. Will it be love at first sight? Will a book go home with someone or out for coffee? (Today is all thrillers, mysteries, and horror.)
Good rollicking read. Had to put it down a couple of times because the main character pissed me off but the story was good and exciting. 4 out of 5 stars.
"There are no explanations for human evil. Only excuses." -Dean Koontz (Intensity)
I discovered Koontz not long after King. 1995 - Intensity. Tink looks intense, eh? #publishedinthe1990s #photoadaynov16
I'm currently listening to this one- co-worker said she couldn't STOP reading.. but had to put the book down occasionally to catch her breath and to relax a bit! I will admit to not really noticing the traffic around me while listening intently.. so far- I've actually spoken to or hollered at the main character a number of times- contemplating getting it on Kindle so I don't have to wait till my next drive to find out what happens!
The very first Dean Koontz book I ever read and holy crap....I'm pretty sure I bit all of my nails off in the day it took me to read this. You won't be able to put it down!
If you are looking for a thrill you could do worse then Intensity by Koontz. I was terrified from start to finish but was desperate to make sure everything turned out OK. If you're a fan of Stephen King you'll enjoy this book. I'll be needing a romance to calm down now I think!
...to resist and fight back, to hold on to hope and dignity and faith in the future. But victimhood was seductive, a release from responsibility and caring: Fear would be transmuted into weary resignation; failure would no longer generate guilt, but, instead would spawn a comforting self-pity
