Getting ready to sit out on the front porch and enjoy that it's overcast and in the 70s today.
I continue to love these two characters! There were definitely times I felt I needed to slap some sense in to them, but I remember acting the same way in high school, so it works. Another great YA holiday romance that was just as good as the first one in this series! #winterreadathon
Flew through the sequel! Lily was kind of a drag this go around, but I think we all needed a break from her toxic positivity. As always, Christmas in NYC— the perfect setting to get into the spirit of the holidays! I‘ve only been to New York in the summertime but I WILL brave the city for Christmas/New Years one day! ❤️
I binged the Dash & Lily series this holiday season. All adorable, I definitely preferred them in order of publication, although I did appreciate that the last one brought back in the literary theme. I really enjoyed being in these characters' heads, but I found Dash tiresome after a while! Lily, however, was just a treat. Great YA holiday romances!

Cute YA love story set during the holidays. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love that even though Dash and Lily have some growing pains in this story, they don't have a stereotypical break up/reunion plot. Their determination to be with each other is one of my favorite things. #yalit #christmasfiction
Yes, it‘s YA Christmas but there‘s something about Dash & Lilly and traipsing around NYC with them that gets me in the holiday mood.
Wish I was there this year. Hopefully next.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I read Dash & Lily‘s Book of Dares about eight years ago and just recently found out there were more books. I loved Book of Dares a lot as a 17 year old. This book, I really hated at first and wanted to dnf. Lily was so immature and selfish. It was a turn off. I pushed myself and found the second half to be better and cute. I don‘t know if I will read the third book. We shall see. #bookstagram #bibliophile #litsy #littens
Starting my third light, holiday romance in a row. Will probably need a grisly murder mystery after this. #tistheseason #seasonsreadings #bemerry
A sweet sequel to the delightful original book. Lily‘s part is a little draining, but it‘s understandable with her age and all she‘s going through. Perfect for the holiday season. This couple certainly loves their big romantic gestures. All the NYC mentions are a treat too.
“There are some things you can‘t control, and time is, like, number one on the list. Number two is the actions of other people.”
I enjoyed a weekend of festive reading. After Dash & Lily‘s Book of Dares I immediately picked up the second book in the series and stayed up late to finish it. Looking forward to the third and last one today.
This is between a pick and so-so. I actually liked this one better than the first book. So I hope Netflix does a season 2 and adapts this one too.
In between reading, I binged many a Christmas romance movie (and may have already filled a Hallmark Christmas movie bingo card 🤭) and worked on my holiday festive tee 👚🎄(a tee because it‘s too warm here for a sweater).

The Netflix adaptation is so adorable! I haven‘t read the books but I am loving this series. Fresh, fun and bookish, it is the perfect holiday escape!
I had to stop and go with this one. Lily was quite annoying but the story overall was good enough for me to finish. #WinterGames #JingleBallers #HolidayReads

I didn‘t enjoy this as much as I thought I would. Lily was irritating in this one! #holidayread #wintergames #teamnutcracker 21pts

I really liked the first in this series, but I found this one frustrating. Lily in particular was hard to listen to, especially for the first 2/3rds of the book. There is nothing that annoys me more than someone who expects the people who love her to read her mind, rather than just speaking up and saying what she needs. The last 1/3rd is better, but this is still just barely a three star read for me.
The first half of the book was a no for me. The second half picked up and was frothier and funnier. But for me, Dash and Lily's Book of Dares was a much cuter and more enjoyable read.
I bring you #12daysofbookmas because:
1. Holiday stories are how I deal. #joinin
2. Never enough reading time before Holidays.
3. I'm on Winterbreak until Jan 7 & have lots of time for reading.
4. LOVE idea of celebrating for 12 days.
Lily and Dash. I love Lily's spirit & joy in the season even while freely admitting to not being religious. Love Dash for his snarky humor/bamhumbugery while underneath he's a marshmallow. #day1 🎁
“I wasn‘t sure what any of this meant. What I was sure of was that the bagpipes had begun to play “#Fairytale of New York”—which is basically the best Christmas song ever written.” #QuotsyDec18
This book left me feeling meh. I loved the first book and was so excited to find out there was a sequel... Plus I wanted a great, cheesy, Christmas read. This book fell short for me. Definitely pick up the first one, Dash and Lily‘s Book of Dares, and skip this one. #Book31of2018
Meh. Had elements of good Dash and Lily but I lost interest half way through the book.
I enjoyed 1st book more.Lily continue with her childish behavior and faced some unrealistic risky experiences finding her independent side. Some scenes seemed were extended just to justify the length of the novel hurting the plot.I found interesting the families dynamics & values. There were some dialogues about beliefs, about love of books and hope to the future that I really liked.A simple funny YA novel (more for young) that I enjoyed 🤷🏻♀️3⭐️
So, I‘m really disappointed in this read. I thought I would love it, but one of the main characters is so whiny and immature. This is a #dnf for me.
I love reading in my chair by the light of the Christmas tree, when the rest of the house has gone to sleep. Now all I need is some snow.
I haven't had time to read in ages. It makes me sad buuut I have most of my Xmas gifts wrapped and I dyed my hair a few days ago .... no time to wash it hence the crazy hairdo (that I actually kind of like tbh). I am hoping to have reading time while I'm out of town for Christmas. We shall see. #notime
I need #Christmas and #holiday themed book #recommendations. Fun, light, quick-ish reads. I'm going to get Twelve Days of Dash and Lily and probably a cozy mystery of some sort but I need other holiday/Christmas themed books to read this month. Anybody got suggestions? #christmasrecs #booksrecommendations

The sequel to Dash and Lily, a story about two people who meet and fall in love at The Strand in NYC during Christmas.
This sequel failed to replicate the magic of the first book. Dash and Lily's Book of Dares was whimsical, magical, full of the holiday spirit. In contrast, Twelve Days of Dash & Lily had a sad and gloomy tone. Dash was awesome! He had somehow transformed into the perfect boyfriend. But Lily. Lily was such a downer in this book. Another thing is that the plot felt so random! This wasn't terrible but it's not as good as the first book.
This book was really good and jolly! I loved the plot and switching between who's talking! I love the characters Dash and Boomer they were hilarious! I didn't really like Lily until the end, she got really annoying half way through. Gets you in the Xmas spirit!
Started this yesterday night and I'm already half way through. It's really good so far and I'm getting quite into the characters apart from Lily, she is quite confusing. I like the plot of the story, very Christmasy book even though it is nowhere near Christmas XD
It was a great book! I really hope they make another book based on this couple.
Even though I'm already in the middle of two or so, I started a new one. Although its a bit late for the Christmas stuff.
Both are perfect holiday reads. One is about the magic of Christmas time. The other is about finding the magic of Christmas when you are in a dark place. Add both to your December TBR pile for next year!
Feels fitting today. Lots of coffee, lots of books (and a little Dash, too)!
Spending New Year's Eve completely alone in my apartment. One day completely for me this winter break. And I am starting off my full day finishing this Christmas read.
The whole day is mine for the reading! 📚🎉❤️
A bit different from the first book - more feelings, and a bit sad and less silly - but still sweet and really quite wonderful. I love these characters!
"...arguably the best day of my life not including any Star Wars movie opening days..."
"She doesn't realize either that this isn't a last, last chance. She's also a sapling. But that's the beauty of your young love - you can learn to be trees together"
This book wasn't as good as the first one and the characters seemed less lovable, but it was still a fast enjoyable read.
I liked this book almost as much as the first one. It was what I needed to read right now - funny how that happens.
It seems like everyone's stressed out this year and not in the Christmas spirit because it's too much work...
The beautiful thing about Christmas is it comes even if you're not ready for it. I'm thinking of the ending of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch stole Christmas. It came! It came just the same...
