Even though it says mostly cloudy, there is hardly a cloud out and the sun is shining. Actually sitting on the patio for once and it feels good 🙌🏻

Drove up the driveway to see my boyfriends mother out on the deck reading a book, enjoying the weather. I was actually pretty jealous 😂

Can‘t wait for spring!!

Spring in Chicago....

Kaye 👍 NO MORE SNOW ❄️. We had flooding here last night. It literally rained buckets. Never saw that much in my life. We are fine. Up on a hill so our basement gets a little wet but the folks down the hill get flooded out. 7y

MinDea Hahaha. I do not have a green thumb at all either so I totally understand. I have an avocado plant I started from a pit and it is a food and a half tall and I feel oh so accomplished! 7y

I don't remember the name but it's a romance novel. Woman travels to England I believe and is transported back in time where she falls in love. So kind of involves travel lol.
We already broke out the grill. So hamburgers!
The book I read for #postlit I can't spoil the title though.

AlaMich Holy cow!!! 😳 Enough with the winter already!! Here in Chicago we‘ve gotten away pretty lightly (although I‘ve probably just jinxed us) but it‘s still pretty cold. Be safe! 7y

JanuarieTimewalker13 Ugh....this is brutal. I‘m Southern European (bloodlines) and I can‘t take this. I actually considered defecting..... under Trump I‘m pretty sure that‘s an appropriate word. 7y

MicheleinPhilly @JanuarieTimewalker13 We considered it too. But it would be to Sweden which wouldn‘t really help weather wise. @AlaMich I prefer cold to heat but this is just excessive. Pretty sure we‘ve had more snow in March than in the rest of winter combined. 7y

MicheleinPhilly @JanuarieTimewalker13 Oh it‘s much worse. In the summer there‘s only a few hours of darkness and vice versa in winter. We usually visit in the summer and my rhythms are JACKED the whole time we‘re there. Yes, blackout shades and eye masks help, but no one tells the birds to shut up at 2 a.m. Well, I do. 7y

MicheleinPhilly @4thhouseontheleft I‘ve used Instacart in the past but didn‘t really like it. Prices are higher than in-store and half the time, the shopper would just mark something as “out of stock” rather than look for it. I‘ve used Shop Rite‘s delivery service but I like to pick my own vegetables and meat. #FirstWorldProblems 7y

alisiakae @MicheleinPhilly Where I live, one of the stores uses the same pricing, and I have been lucky with great shoppers overall. But I‘m cancelling it soon because I don‘t use it enough, and I also don‘t buy fresh produce via instacart for the same reasons. I miss Shop Rite. 😩 7y

MicheleinPhilly @4thhouseontheleft The Shop Rite shoppers are GREAT. They call me an hour or so before delivery to tell me if they‘re out of something and run through the substitution options. And their weekly sales apply to deliveries. 7y

The weather was so lovely today that the little one and I decided to go outside for an hour after work/daycare. While he was riding his tricycle in the backyard, mum squeezed in a few pages of her book. 😍 And a round of applause, please: This pumpkin has gone diaper-free all day without any accidents for the first time today. 😊 (Sorry, that's not really book-related but I'm just so proud. 😉)
