It's a compilation of short stories. Most of the stories will be familiar to you if you have seen the tv show. It was a fast read for me.

I love Amor Towles! He is such a wonderful story teller. The Lincoln Highway-- I connected with each character. This is very important for me when I read a book. I've lived in Kansas and had been to Nebraska numerous times so the setting was familiar. The story is quite long. It took me a week to read but I didn't want to rush. I wanted to read every word. Towles writes like a poet. One of my favorite writers for sure. ❤️

Fast paced. Thrilling. However, the story is not very original. I still enjoyed it though. I'm giving this book ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5

I didn't regret choosing this book for my July Book of the Month. First fiction book I've read that's set during the pandemic. The story is pretty good too! Well written and thrilling!

This book didn't excite me at all. It could have been better. The plot is interesting but the author could have done better writing. The story telling felt a bit rushed. 🤷🏻‍♀️

There are definitely emotional vampires all around us.

Wow. Just wow. Silicon Valley is known to have a high population of intelligent people but this book just makes me scratch my head.

I 💙war stories&this didn‘t disappoint.This is when Germany just started to occupy France&how they destroyed not only their city but literally thousands of lives.Thankfully there were people who didn‘t give up easily and helped in their own way.Some hid Jews in their homes and some joined the Resistance where they contributed by bombing the enemies or saving downed pilots.They risked their lives just to save others.#thenightingale #kristinhannah

A novel about strength, resilience, acceptance and moving on. I found this book very inspirational. Life has been a struggle lately and I think it‘s just perfect that I‘ve chosen this as my #bookofthemonth pick. This book is an easy read. I love Maggie‘s character. She‘s strong, funny and smart. This book surprised me.I‘ve heard about it a long time ago and it‘s everywhere but I don‘t know why it took me a long time to decide to read it.I‘m so glad I did!This book is compelling and powerful. It‘s not just about who won the Oscars but it also talks about a number of important social issues which gave the story a deeper meaning.

If you like treasure hunting adventures and Templar stories, then this book is for you! However, I, personally, am not a fan of the protagonist. The love story feels forced and I dislike the ending. But, I gave this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) because I enjoyed the action and mystery of the story.

An American Marriage is not just a story of love and marriage. It is also a story that tackles some of the social injustices that are present in society today. This book is truly an eye-opener and I highly recommend it!

It‘s officially spring today! 🌸🌼🌺 It‘s still a little cold outside but I can‘t wait for the weather to warm up a little bit so I could go out and read while breathing some fresh air. 🌳

The Last Equation of Isaac Severy is an interesting and fun read! I think I would have enjoyed it more though if I didn't expect it to be like other mystery novels like Nancy Drew or Sherlock Holmes.

The Roanoke girls lived in a small rural town in Kansas (the State where I live).It‘s interesting to read a book where the place is familiar. I have mixed emotions about this book. A part of me likes the story because it‘s interesting in a twisted kind of way. The plot has the potential to be great but this is a bit chaotic for me. I had a hard time understanding the first few chapters. I was very eager to find out what really happened at the Drowning Pool. However, the thrill or climax that I‘ve been waiting for didn‘t come. This is the first book I‘ve read by Meissner and I‘m absolutely sure it will not be my last. I love the way she writes and tells a story. I know that this is one of the books that I will never forget (probably because of the amount of crying that I did. Lol).I highly recommend this book especially to historical fiction fans out there and please don‘t forget to grab a box of tissues before you start reading!

I love the ending of the whole series. Louisa Clark absolutely deserves a happy one! She had been through so much and because of her perseverance and positive attitude she turned her ordinary life to something extraordinary. We definitely could learn a thing or two from Miss Louisa Clark!

I finally finished it last night. I rate this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (2.5/5). It was slow-paced and the storyline was a little boring for me. I felt like I have heard this story before plus I didn‘t connect much with the characters. The whole story is about grieving the loss of Will (& other loved ones) but I‘m not feeling it at all and I usually tear up so easy. 🤷🏻‍♀️It wasn‘t all that bad though. I enjoy J. Moyes‘ humor! I had a good laugh on some parts!

I need more coffee ☕️. This book is making me sleepy. I love Moyes‘ ME BEFORE YOU but this one is disappointing. 😕 The story is nothing original. It‘s like watching a bad chick flick movie. I chose STILL YOU for my #botm and I‘m hoping the novel is nothing like this. 😩

I feel like it has the potential of becoming a movie or a series! It reminds me of the Netflix series Stranger Things where an alternate dimension exists in parallel to the human world and the monsters from this dimension are slowly turning up on the other side.

The book is full of interesting characters. And Cyril, Oh Cyril... Sometimes, I wish I could give him a hug. 😔 He had gone through so much and I admire his courage to move on every time. Although, I didn‘t find the writing very remarkable, I like how the author incorporated history, politics and current relevant issues in our society today like societal attitudes towards homosexuality, gender equality and HIV/AIDS to this compelling novel. 4/5

Just finished reading this wonderful book! It's based on Pino Lella's story during the last few years of World War II in Italy. Some parts were just heart breaking that I couldn't help but shed some tears.My mind is still trying to think back and remember the things that has happened to him. I kinda got attached to Pino's character and Gen Leyers. I wish they found out more information about Anna and how Leyers found out that Pino was "Observer".
