I‘m currently listening to this….and honestly I thought that Margaret Beaufort was cray cray….nope her son definitely has her beat. Also this installment in the series is very good. I can‘t wait to listen to the next one. #books #series #tudors #historicalfiction
pickA compelling work of fiction, even though I really don‘t think much of this story is true. The idea that Henry VII spent so much time fearful and paranoid is new to me, and I don‘t buy it the way it is presented here. Still, I loved Elizabeth of York and the way Ms Gregory portrayed her. She was caught in the middle of her York family and her husband‘s family, the Tudors. And I really felt compassion for the difficult choices she had to make.

Excited to start this one. I‘ve loved everything I‘ve read by Philippa Gregory.

Happy new year to all!!! I‘m really enjoying listening to this book! I never thought I would just simply because I love to read, to hold the book in my hands and just get all absorbed in the story , but I‘m finding myself doing the same in this manner as well! Great books are worth owning, and I will still be looking to buy the book, also because it is part of a series!!!

Just binged the Starz version of the book. And got a lot done on a sock (Democratic Debates helped too). I honestly can't remember if the series was close to the book. I enjoyed watching it unlike the last period show/movie I watched (Mary, Queen of Scots).

pickNot my favorite of the series, but still a pick. I liked the author note at the end explaining what was unknown and why she chose the narrative she did. Moving on to the next one . . .

A pawn in the war of roses, she‘s forced to Marry King Henry VI in the attempt to unite the house of Tudor and York, finding herself in the precarious position of being the daughter of one king, wife to another and mother to a third. Wonderful read and audio is terrific!
pickGood read with Gregory's take on what happened to the princes in the tower. I'm not sure she was fair to Henry VII though. I think he was probably not such a whiney mama's boy.
pickSo this book was a birthday gift and barely today I had the chance to read it. Once I started reading it I was consumed and started binge reading it till the end. Such a good book, and the story line has many twist and turns just amazing :)
pickTook me waaay longer than it should have to get through this book but I suppose that is what happens when you can't stick to one thing.
First Gregory book I've read (and I'm sure I'll read more) and the writing style was not exactly my favorite. But it was easy to get sucked into.
Started off depressing, the middle was depressing, and the ending...depressing.
Good stuff!

Goodwill book haul #2. This #littlefreelibrary is free for everyone but me. 😂I'm glad the books are so popular but very few people are putting any in. The children's books are getting wiped out. So now I'm sticking to paperbacks for $.79. pickI finally finished! 500+ pages! I really enjoyed this. I wanted to finish before the Stars series ended. I'm glad I did. The book is so different! As with all historical fiction, the Authors Note is so informative! I like the idea that the boy wouldn't want to hurt his wife, or Elizabeth. Getting back to my reread/listen if this series. I must say even though I'm happy they are making TV series of these books, I despise having my covers changed from the original to the production poster.
So I just found out there's a book SERIES!!!! Which one is the first one??? I must start with the first. If no one knows I'll google it. OMG I'm so excited!!!!!

Both coming to television in April. But now I need to watch The White Queen episodes first; it preceded The White Princess.

I love my kindle! Its one of the older models, no light, no color, no games ect...and its time for a upgrade. It keeps rebooting itself. Maybe Santa will being me a paperwhite, along with my Hamilton tickets.
