All of the bath and beauty products are themed to specific potions from Harry Potter, ranging from Veritaserum lip balm to Amortentia body mist to Draught of Living Death poop spray. So much to love about this book, especially its discussions on creating fiction. It does deal with depression, suicide, anxiety & panic disorders, so be aware of that going in. Eliza is a very teenaged character, sometimes annoyingly so. There is a lot of growth and discovery in this novel, which makes up for its reliance on secrets as plot devices.

I loved this book. Despite its short length it didn't feel to me like a clipped story. The action, romance, and emotional depth unfurled organically. This is a trans, queer retelling/sequel of Peter Pan, but it is also the Peter Pan retelling you have been waiting for. 9/10. Totally recommend.
