Much junk food was devoured along with this deliciously readable novel! I‘ve ordered the next two in the trilogy and look forward to them!

✅ Young and handsome Scottish man
✅ Smart and sassy lady
✅ Old castle ruins
✅ A mysterious mystery
Oh yeah Litsers… we are getting COZY! 🏴☕️
For my birthday this year I bought myself a trip to Scotland!!!!!!!!!! I‘m going with my sister and I asked her to put some local bookshops on the itinerary! I am over the moon at the prospect of observing and listening to Scottish men in their native habitat. Now, what do you all think the odds are of meeting Bryan Dick while I‘m there? 🏴🍆🥰😅
I absolutely ADORED this novel!! It took me forever to get through it but that was no fault of the story...this year hasn‘t really helped my attention span. Now that I‘m done I just wish there was even more. I forgot how much I love her writing and I‘ll need to remember that next year! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 16 points for #merryreaders #wintergames2020
Weekly check in for #wintergames2020! I completed 3 books (almost 4...I really wanted to finish the tagged book but didn‘t read as much as I hoped). I also shared lots of ornaments and holiday tv shows/movies I‘ve been watching. The only readathon I‘ve been counting is #readyourwayreadathon by @TheSpineView . My total points for the week: 543 for #merryreaders!
@Laughterhp Congrats on reaching 50k!!!
The book I would recommend would be The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley. I love any book set in Scotland with multiple time lines and a little mystery. It was my favorite book of 2018 and there is a sequel.

An intriguing tale. The concept/theory of genetic memory plays a large role in the story development. I didn‘t know much about “The ‘O8”. Did the French conspire to ensure this invasion‘s failure? A question that eludes a definitive answer, but, yet, is so much fun to debate. The author did “fool” me in a couple of instances, & while I‘m used to Louise Penny doing this, I was pleasantly surprised by Susanna Kearsley‘s skills at doing similarly!
Arrived in Scotland yesterday, more specifically Cruden Bay in Aberdeen. Look at that view! Today I'm going to try my hand at golf. Despite my happy look I'm pretty sure it will be a disaster but still fun. #backpackeurope @JenP @bookwormm
Enabler Alert: One of my favs on sale on Amazon! Get it!
I am so happy 😁 I really love books that give you that feeling when you done reading them. You know that you happy feeling and you learned something new and interesting as well as entertaining. That feeling that is the feeling I‘m feeling right now 😉😋📖 ahh I love this feeling 📚📚😁
I absolutely love how Susanna Kearsley gives a history lesson while telling her own story. I love how she crafted this tale. From the authors point of view as well as the main character, Sophia. I was so emotionally invested in this book that I actually cried at the end. I appreciated that the love scenes weren't smutty. I felt this book was educational, tactful, and lovely. With an exciting storyline that keeps you guessing till the very end.
“I do promise that you will survive this. Faith, my own heart is so scattered round the country now, I marvel that it has the strength each day to keep me standing. But it does,' she said, and drawing in a steady breath she pulled back just enough to raise a hand to wipe Sophia's tears. 'It does. And so will yours.'
'How can you be so sure?'
'Because it is a heart, and knows no better.”

I‘m in the mood for something Outlanderish, we‘ll see if this can touch the Jamie and Claire sized hole in my heart... In reality, I know that‘s asking way too much. My actual expectations are just that I will enjoy the story. Also, I hate this cover. A lot. The other one is soooo pretty.
...while she dreamed of fields of grass that once had bowed before her when she walked, and on the morning air that carried happiness upon it...
Are all of her books this good?
I love this book! I believe this is my second or third reread- but first time to listen to the audio version. Wonderful reader, IMO!
This is another book I've had several times and not read, but the time was finally just right and it was exactly the right book for today. I think it would appeal outlander fans.
I realized after my last post that I was not properly attired for reading quietly on the couch. I fixed that 😆🎄🍵 #SockSunday
I went to a baby's first Birthday party and there were far too many people. I love that little girl, but I'm so happy to be back home where it is quiet and I can read in peace on the couch 😥📚☕
This week I bought Winter Sea part 1 and part 2 by Susanna Kearsley on #booksale
Have you already read it? Is this historical fiction or historical romance? I'm not sure about this genre😊😮

The first Susanna Kearsley book I read. A beautiful, poignant tale of #lostlove in the north of Scotland in the early 18th century. #jubilantjuly
I've only read one of these books. The others are in my tbr list. #aseasoninthetitle #marchintospring
@Bakingbookworm and I had a wonderful political discussion with one of our favourite authors while attending a book talk this morning. We talked for almost half an hour! #booknerd #daymade
Book presents before wrapping! Giving my MIL The Winter Sea for her birthday, hoping to create a new Susanna Kearsley fan! Hubby is getting The Lion in the Living Room, so I can read it. 😻
Susanna Kearsley is my favorite when Im #inthemoodforlove. The love story is always simple and sweet. #seasonsreadings2016

When I haven't got a clue what to read, or have fallen into the dreaded book slump, I go for one of these #feelgoodbooks. Kearsley pairs history, time travel, great locations, and some romance in an easy-to-read way. They aren't the deepest books out there, but they lift my mood every time! #Augustphotochallenge #augustofpages #feelgoodbook
Enabler alert: I really enjoy reading Susanna Kearsley. This one was great. The price is too!!
This is a wonderful book and it's on sale today at all the e-retailers! I love all of Kearsley's books and this may be one of the best.
Winter Sea is two books in one. Well written. Clever interconnections between the modern and historic story lines. Relatable female character. Multiple dreamy make characters. Anyone who enjoyed Outlander should check this out.
I LOVED this book. More than liked, loved. As in, I bought it on my kindle and after reading it will buy a physical copy I loved it that much. If you like writing and Scotland and history and really great romance, this book is for you.
