The audiobook for Psycho ended up being a lot of fun! Even if you know the plot twist, the book is still quite enjoyable and I had forgotten a lot of details about the story. It was interesting to then watch the movie and see how Hitchcock changed parts of the story and characters. I enjoyed the book a lot more than the film that‘s more remembered!

Caught the original Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock on TV. Needed this for one of my bingos! Nothing like getting it in at the last minute.

I listened to, Psycho, while painting my bookshelf. It was good but I was a bit spoiled on the story since I've seen the movie and watched, The Bates Motel ☺ It was nice to mark it off my TBR list though🤗
I decided it was time to pick up this horror classic. Let me tell you. There is a reason it‘s a classic.

#TeamSlaughter @Clwojick Watched this classic gem this afternoon. Loved all the classic lines that are so well known.

As I finished this book my one thought was, he really is Psycho! I enjoyed this book. It was creepy and a quick read. I haven‘t seen either movie so I had no preconceptions on how the story should go but I did know the main story line. I am looking forward to watching both versions of the movie soon.
Ooh new books yay. Some non fiction, Christmas and horror. I had to get Christmas at Woolworths. I used to love our local store especially at Christmas.
Norman Bates in the novel and movie differ. In the novel, Norman is mid-to-late 40s, short, overweight, homely. In the movie, he is in his mid-20s, tall, slender, and handsome. Hitchcock decided that he wanted audiences to sympathize with Norman and like the character, so he made him more of a "boy next door". In the novel, Norman becomes "Mother" after getting drunk and passing out; in the movie, he remains sober before switching personalities.
We did have a brief visit with Norman? #studiotour #Psycho #janetleigh #grearbooks #BatesMotel
3⭐'s. I was excited to read this because I finished watching Bates Motel not too long ago. It was a bit slow for me but it was well written. The author did a good job capturing how crazy Norman was.

The book that Alfred Hitchcock's classic movie is based on is what comes to mind with today's emoji.
My favorite horror movie. I was 11. A friend told me all about it before I went to see it. I still screamed and screamed until another friend punched me to hush up. #thatbookishhikergiveaway
Got to listen to the Houston Symphony do the music while watching Hitchcock's Psycho. It was so much fun!
Not as good as the movie, but still good - just doesn't have the finesse that Hitchcock added to it. The first 45 minutes of the movie, one of my favorite parts, is restricted to a couple of pages in the novel. Hitchcock's Norman, & his dialogue, is much more convincing than Bloch's. However, if we didn't have such an outstanding movie to compare the book to, I think I would praise the novel more. In this case, the movie just shines brighter.
The house from the movie psycho. It can be found at Universal Studios... creepy...
I don't care who you are, when this guy looks like that....you get insta-chills #batesmotel #norman #creepyashell
If you are a fan of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and/or Bates Motel, you have to read this book! It aged very well. But don't expect the description of Norman to look like either Freddie Highmore or Tony Perkins. More like Comic Book Guy on the Simpsons... #litsyatoz #psycho #batesmotel #normanbates
Bates Motel has been great since the first episode, but it's operating on a whole different level in its final season.
Psycho has been one of my favorite horror movies for quite some time! So when my boyfriend bought me the book Hitchcock used to make the film I was overjoyed! Hitchcock stayed true to the book! I wish I read it before the movie because I already knew the plot twists! Still a great suspense book!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it's Psycho.. I don't even know what else to say 🔪🔪🔪🔪
In honor of the season premiere of Bates Motel tonight. My Psycho tattoo when it was brand new.
