The next 24B4MONDAY readathon is almost upon us! How are we this close to the end of November already? What will you be reading? Snacks? I‘ve also set up the readathon threads on GR for those involved in that group too.
What a great Readathon Weekend! I got to hang out with my wonderful reading buddies from around the world, listen to some great audiobooks during a 3.5-mile beach walk and put a little dent in my TBR list. 😁 Thanks to our amazing #24in48 organizers Rachel, Kristen and Kerry! 🙌🏻

Finally had time for a January Wrap Up. 11 books read 7 were print, 4 were ebooks. Usually it‘s the other way around for me-I tend to read more in e form but I also keep buying print. This year I‘d like to work on reading as much in print and whittle down these piles! 5 of my print reads were library books due to the #newyearwhodis challenge. Considering my part time as needed job has morphed into full time, I think I‘ve done well!

I caught my daughter reading with her Amazon Rapids account. She's loving discovering all their stories and the point and tap feature that will read words when she gets stuck. She's so close to being able to read completely on her own!
This is my friend who said she didn't care about reading books and said she'd rather watch movies or TV instead and I don't know, guys, I think I might have actually had an influence on her! 🙌🏻 Converting non-readers one at a time! 😂😂😂 I then proceeded to dump like a million book suggestions on her. Whoops.
Well, I think I need reading glasses. Maybe trifocals. I'm having trouble seeing things close and at middle distance. That's why I haven't been reading posts more often. Anyone have any tips for a n00b? I've had distance since first grade, but the idea of trifocals at 37 is freaking me out.

75 books in 2017 feels like it hits my reading sweet spot (I read 74 in 2016 and 78 in 2015). I don't like the feeling of reading just to hit a number so 75 feels right.
Other 2017 goals:
📚 Limit my currently reading list to 4 books at a time
📚 Return OverDrive loans earlier if I suspect I won't get to them before their due date
📚 Give second chances to authors with whom I didn't have a great first experience
