It is St. Nicholas day. We were very nice this year because our table is full. St. Nicholas visited us in the middle of the night and brought us gifts.

@Seshat This is my other old book, a St. Nicholas anthology from 1894. A couple at my church were divesting themselves of most of their worldly possessions and retiring to Florida. They gave this to me because they knew how much I loved books. It is in TERRIBLE condition. Pages falling out and completely detached spine, but still kind of cool.
Woke up at 12:20 a.m & knowing it'll be a long day, started it off right by opening Secret Santa gifts. I'm so excited! I recently added The Secret Library to my tbr pile (resisting the urge to immediately go buy it, good thing!). Creature Comforts looks like a fun read! And I nearly cried over the quote on the necklace: "I am no bird, and no net ensnares me." Thanks Secret Santa & organizer! #secretsantagoespostal #wintersolsticebookexchange
No idea about this book but I wanted to with you all a lovely St Nicholas Eve! This comes from my husband's German upbringing. I love making our own traditions derived from our childhoods! Set those boots outside! Maybe you will all eat a book with your orange! 📚 🍊 🇩🇪
