The writing style on this one was interesting, omniscient 3rd person into six people‘s POV in the same chapter.

I wasn‘t quite sold on the main romance. I thought the man bullied her into the relationship and forced her hand into progressing things rapidly.

There were plenty of touching moments. And a century‘s old ghost haunting the house. Who is she and why does she haunt.

OMG this city in the book is just 11 miles away or a half hour car ride away!

Sadly, the novel is now in Tennessee.

Born.A.Reader I adore this series! 📚 ❤️ 1mo
CrowCAH @Born.A.Reader so far so good. Easy to read. 1mo
lynneamch Oh gosh. Def have to get this one. Currently, near Southfield myself this week. Actually live in Tennessee so either place works for me! 1mo
CrowCAH @lynneamch oh wow what perfect settings for you! The book action takes place in Memphis, Tennessee. 1mo

I‘ll be starting this book.

It will be my first ever time reading a Nora Roberts book!

My coworker who owns physical copies of all the Nora Roberts books (but not really the JD Robb ones), recommended this one to me.

Do you agree?

I‘m looking forward to reading a book by one of romances most notable authors!

So…

My #BookSpin this month is a Nora Roberts book. I‘m trying to read some of our customers‘ ‘most loved‘ authors, and boy is she popular?! Also, prolific 📚📚📚!

She also has a decent number of shocking ratings on Litsy. And appears to write in a squillion genres. So my question is, what should I try? Any recommendations/avoid at all costs?

Thank you 😁

(Screenshot from Fantastic Fiction, which I thought might help. It doesn‘t.)

Librarybelle I enjoyed the Bride Quartet books and the Inn Boonsboro Trilogy for her straight romance. For the more supernatural bit, I loved the Sign of Seven Trilogy and the Guardians Trilogy. 2y
TheAromaofBooks I'm with @Librarybelle - I really loved the Bridal Quartet a lot. They are a little spicy but not crazy, and the friendships between the group of friends really sells me on them. A lot of her 80s stuff can be rather 80s (strong manly man grabs feisty woman and kisses her in submission yadda yadda). This year, I really enjoyed Whiskey Beach, which is romantic suspense light on the suspense, and Nightwork, which is a bit more of a character study ⬇ 2y
TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) than romance. 2y
MonicaLoves2Read I enjoy her In Death Series by J D Robb, that's the name she writes them under ( I can't think of the word for that 🙂). The books are set in the mid 2000's. Cop procedurals with romance. 2y

ravenlee Thanks for the tag! I also have a black thumb, but we‘re about to try a raised bed for the first time so 🤞🏻. Years ago I actually had a very successful herb and vegetable garden, but it seems to have been a trick because since then it‘s been miserable. 3y
kspenmoll Thanks for the tag. Done!!! 3y
Ddzmini @ravenlee yea I just tried a fern…😨 and I gave it to a friend because it was bad 😖 I love plants and flowers so much and can‘t keep them 😨 3y

Wasn‘t what I expected but a little romance and suspense and mystery rolled into one. Also my first finished read of the year on my new kindle..

Taking a break from Voyager, reading on my kindle not sure how I‘m feeling about it yet, by the description seems a little spooky but I‘m not seeing it yet.

It was well written and tugged at the heart strings but I didn't feel the connection to the plot or the characters. I loved all of the yard work and now want to plant entire gardens, but I didn't find the storyline all that enticing. The romance also seemed to be more behind the scenes and no one seemed to run into each other all that often making them seem to be moving too fast (which perhaps was the point).

I feel like I learn something new and exciting everytime I read book written by Nora Roberts. This time it's about gardening.

First book of the In The Garden trilogy, it focus on Stella, who move to Memphis with her two young children after the sudden death of her husband.
