I‘m late in posting this — there was a cider incident with the #bujo 😱 — but here are my tallies for #cyoreadathon and #october8in2! Not nearly as many hours as I meant to read, but I had fun starting the spooky reads with my kids!
So here are my first points for #scarathlon2020: +61 for this post. I‘m tallying the books separately so I can keep it all straight.

☠️Watching scary movies with my best friend in early high school: too old to trick or treat, too young to go to teen Halloween parties. We‘d turn off all the lights and watch Halloween or some other 80s horror flick then dare each other to walk around the outside of the house at midnight! Aahhh!!! Wish we were still so carefree!

Why oh why was I so badly mummified?
This book is an ok book. The has a sense of humor with some of its poems which would get children interested in. I loved the illustrations because they really paint the picture of what the poem is talking about.
so-soPoetry and was written in 2010. This book is about Halloween and all the creatures that go with it the holiday. The poems are varied in length; some are a stanza and others are the whole page. The poems start with a werewolf and witches and goes all the way to a bird dressed up as napoleon.

My #halloweengoespostal package is out. Thanks to the toddler busy destroying the greeting card display at the post office however, I forgot to put my note in it, specify my Litsy handle or write the hashtag on the outside of the box... so I'm going to spoil the surprise for @That-Bookish-Hiker and tell you that the estimated delivery date is Saturday. Hopefully it all arrives in one piece!

To my match, I love surprises so don't feel constrained by my lists. Goodreads is your best bet as I am very diligent on keeping it updates on what I've read. There is also a owned but not yet read list(no judgement zone). #allhallowsreadbookexchange
