Book 4 in the Outlander Chapter-a-day reread. Still love this series, and finding details I missed the first (or second, or third...) time through. #00-2024
The one where Claire's personality becomes Jamie. My least favorite, so far, as was this season of the show.
Visited another Outlander location. This one is from season 3 where Jamie's print shop was located.
#bakehouseclose
Just got done reading this book!!! It is a reread for me!!! I love this series. I love the characters so much!!! I could have finished this book last night, but I was so tired. I got my first book of April done. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
Book4 of the Outlander series.
Jamie remains in my top 5 least liked characters.
Clare and Jamie were not central to this story, instead Bre and Roger were. There was a lot (again) that felt unnecessary and unneeded.
At times it‘s a great story and other times just meh.
The direction that Gabaldon is going could be interesting and has potential to be really good.
Much more would give spoilers and I don‘t want to do that 😊
I finished! I finally finished! Marking this my 133rd book of the year!! 🥳🥳
I will say the first half was slower than the last. Once Rog and Bree took over the story I could barely put it down. Also, I love Lord John!! ❤️❤️ 4/5
Up next.
Might be taking a break from Bridgerton but apparently not from romance LOL
Dedicating the rest of the year to finishing this behemoth. I think it‘s taken me all year and I‘m only halfway through. 😅 Let‘s see how much I can read during the snow storm! How is it where everyone lives? Tennessee here and it just started falling! ❄️🌨️

I loved books 2 and 3, but this one left a little to be desired for me. Personally, it's the setting more than the story. This one takes place mostly in America and I just wasn't as invested. It was interesting to see the dynamics unfold when the family is finally all together through, and I'm a big fan of Ian's character after finishing this one.
My second finish for #SuperSeptember. This finishes my re-reading via audio of Outlander books I read many years ago. I forgot how all encompassing this book was to the Fraser clan.
I look forward to reading more of the “new” ones now.
#MayMoms #Expecting
Brianna is expecting her child to be born in the past with her mother, Claire, as midwife.
Book #4. At the end of the book, the author says ‘this book is about fathers‘ and then dedicated it to her own. Claire and Jamie are settled in the mountains of the colonies now. Brianna struggles with thoughts of both her fathers. A lot of what-if‘s and should I or shouldn‘t I and many emotional struggles…along with the general life that goes along with pioneers staking their claim in the colonies.
This is was least favorite season on the tv show so far and the book felt the same. I feel like this was the bridge for a plot/location shift.
March Book 14/25 #LitsyLove #bookspinbingo
Finished this one in January 🙃😬. Slowest going of the ones read so far, except for the shock of the end. Brianna and Roger, Bonnet 😡 and Ian. 😞🥲💔 Miscommunication. Hardships. Trials. Family drama. All the feels. And yet it ends on a hopeful note, so my journey continues with the next one. #recentlyread #historicalfiction #timetravel
P.S. life happened and cover got bent 😬 I wasn‘t going to post a picture of it, but decided honest = best
When you go home for a visit to prepare an important talk at church ⛪️ and get some rest over the weekend, you get treated to yummy beet soup (borscht 🇷🇺)🥣 and definitely bring along a 📖! #currentlyreading #romance #timetravel #blessed ❤️🥰🥲
Does anyone use Bookly Pro and is it worth the subscription? What features do you enjoy in the Pro version?
I'm 47 books behind schedule and my desk is a mess, but I'm finished with this chunkster. I've already downloaded the next book and purchased the most recent (birthday present to self). So I'm on course to read 46 picture books in the next 3 weeks. I'll be more intentional next year 😉
I'm re-reading the Outlander series and taking my time. I'm only in the 4th book. I'm okay with being late due the new book release. Today is the last day of harvest break and yesterday I read until the Kindle died late at night. I can't believe I woke up in time for this spectacular light show. I have all these things to do to get ready for the week, but the Kindle is recharged and Claire just got her shoes back. Clarence just got to the ridge⤵️
More Wednes op shop spoils! Planning on wearing the striped dress out on Sat night with my ballerina friend‘s for a ‘Cocktail Extravaganza‘. I got the Michelle Bridge‘s cookbook cause once upon a time my sis made an awesome chick pea curry out of 1 of her books & I‘ve been on the hunt for it ever since. Yet to peruse this 📖 to see if it is included. Our anniversary is coming up so the earrings are to wear to the Champagne & show Stew booked us.
Just ONE hour left of this #Audiobook!
It‘s already been super touching, making me tear up. I just know I‘ll be crying once Bri and Roger fully reconcile ❤️
I had to renew this #Audiobook.
21 days was not long enough for me to listen to 45 hours worth of book!
I was pleasantly surprised! At first I thought the pacing was too slow. But the gripping emotional scenes needed that foundation which the first half was built. I found myself tearing up at Jamie‘s and Bree‘s scenes that enriched their relationship. Loved it!
“Now I stood with him again upon the summit of life, and could not contemplate descent”
1. I just got knocked out by those stubborn scot traits coming out in full force.
2. Ian is the best character and you can‘t tell me otherwise. him and his wolf are perfect in every way.
3. Brianna is back on her BS. I can‘t w her rn.
4. I just hope Lord John Grey finds the love of his life and happiness bc he deserves nothing less
Day off of work....in which I went on a drive to sit at the Mini dealership while the car gets serviced.
But not working means extra reading, no matter where I am!
Perfect time to start Outlander 4. I‘m committed now. My Kindle informed me that the “typical time to read” is 27 hours. Challenge accepted!
Well, I've completely gorged on these books so far but had more than one person tell me it was at this point they got bored. It transpired however, they were referring to the TV series rather than the books. Again, I find myself 200 years and continents away with our intrepid pioneers. The story lingers on even after I've read the final page - Gabaldon manages, even after best part of 1000 pages, to leave us readers hungering for more.
It has been a little tough these couple of weeks. The hubby and I went on a little getaway at an alpaca farm. Finally having some time to read!
#alpacas #viewfromourporch
Not the best photo but today I found I. The used book store the next 4 books in the series so I thought it was time to pick up and continue the series
Edit :I took a better photo and changed from the original
I just learned a new word : polygogue. “Jamie was a natural polygogue; he acquired languages and dialects with no visible effort, picking up idiums as a dog picks up foxtails in a romp through the fields.”
I enjoy this Friday night activity so much more than I ever enjoyed the whole “Night on the Town” thing! Especially when I‘m home alone. It‘s in pics where I also notice the accidental repetition of things I‘m attracted to. Lots of blue, lots of owls, lots of tea/coffee.
#ForeverNovember challenge day 22: Love
Outlander as a whole is love. I love this couple, they remind me so much of my husband and I. Love the show, what books I‘ve read so far, the soundtracks, and their outfits, especially here!
Thanks for the tag @hannah-leeloo
Not really got a book that reminds of Autumn so I chose one that had it on the title.
Yes I have picked out my Christmas reading and will post it soon (it's quite a few so I can't really list all of them here)
Last night I had a Pot Noodle, Crisps and a chocolate bar as I was at work at teatime.
Blackadder is my ultimate series that I go to have a laugh/feel good.

🌞 No holiday TBR. I‘m a mood reader.
🌞 We have lots of leftover chicken, so I‘ll do something with that (probably just reheat it and serve it with a double vegetable, which my kids will hate).
🌞 When the news, or life, has me looking for some relief (which is a lot these days), I turn to Hallmark movies. Cheesy and awful, but oh so feel good. I‘m a sucker for a happy ending.
Thanks for the tag @Eggs !

Just thinking if I should read this now or finish Season 3 in Netflix first.
Finally finished this! Took me a while to get into, even though it picks up exactly where Voyager left off. Towards the middle, though, she moves much more quickly. I have watched the series so it‘s interesting to see how true they stay to this book for the most part.
I‘ve borrowed this book twice now and haven‘t gotten all the way through 1) because it‘s over 800 pages and 2 weeks isn‘t enough time when I‘ve got other books to read, too! 2) maybe now that the TV series is past this, I haven‘t been as interested? But I‘m going to put ANOTHER hold on it and hope that I get it back sometime during this quarantine to finish 😜🙏
