Am I reading a Christmas book in October? Yes. Is it the most delightful thing I have read in a while with multiple book references in the first chapter? Also yes. I must say one chapter in and I‘m in love.

I love naked books

I‘ve only taken two classes so far towards my masters, but I‘ve never been great at school so this is a first.

First physical book I have read since ACOSF came out...so in months. I picked Anya‘s Ghost up yesterday and the New & Used Superbookstore in Burlington, MA. I enjoyed this ghost story. It‘s a great ya graphic novel.

I am so ready for this book.

My pick for the month for #botm

I decided to try #bookspin for October and see what I can get read. Lots of these are arcs from netgalley I am behind on or that are being released in October. The tagged is my most anticipated read as Dave Grohl is an amazing human being with nice long hair that I wish I had. I also haven‘t read a book since March so I am in need of some escape.

I may have preordered two editions of this book today cause I am having a shitty day and my therapy appointment didn‘t help.

Got a new book and a new sofa and chair today! Roommate and I were not actively looking for a new sofa, but we got word of a nice one for $20 and bam now we have a new living room set. Sofa is literally like brand new.

What are some good escapist audiobooks? I need something to listen to while I work.

I totally forgot about birthday perks on #botm. This will make a good last box. I‘ll be canceling my subscription because 1) I hardly read the books I get and my reading has gone down a lot since I started my masters classes. 2) major changes coming to my life (🤞🏼) by the end of the year

I have been in the worst reading slump lately. I can‘t focus on anything, but the textbook for my class that starts in 2 and a half weeks oddly enough is doing it for me.

I did a thing this weekend. I know we are still in a pandemic, but I am vaccinated and the shop I went to was super clean and the artist (and everyone who came and went while I was there) was very clean as well before/during/and after she worked on me. This is my first tattoo (and probably (definitely)not the last) and I am so unbelievably happy with it. Her apprentice took my idea and made it into something amazing that I am proud to have.

I am currently obsessed with stickers so I have been ordering some from my favorite shops. The Lafayette one came today

Unexpected extra day in Maine. Snow storm and a super intense migraine kept me off the roads today. Enjoying some Lafayette.

I finally have gotten to go to Maine for the first time since 2019 and I got to hug my parents (we are all vaccinated and are being safe). While here I‘ve gone through my grams jewelry. She passed in December and these are just a few of my favorites I am taking home with me to remember her by. The ring is her class ring from 1953.

Officially started Luka Modrić‘s autobiography in celebration of him being the most capped Croatian player. 🇭🇷⚽️

I am going to try #bookspin again. This is the last month until my classes start for my masters and I want to get caught up. Thankfully I get to travel to Maine this weekend. (I get to see my mom and dad for the first time in 16 months and we are all vaccinated so I am excited).

Today the roommate had me paint scenery for our snack station for Thursday. Still need a little detail

It was very quickly done, but this is the door into Moria.

The roommate and I are having a LotR party all day Thursday (with just our bubble of people coming throughout the day) and we made a tree for the living room. We have fun themed snacks and I am currently working on the door of durin. The day is going to consist of eating lembas bread and watching the extended versions of all three movies.

I love getting book mail. This one sounds good.

2021 is the year of rereads. I got more audible credits and have now gotten the tagged and Red White and Royal Blue

I am in need of some good fantasy and this has come highly recommended.

While I wait for my next read to arrive (because why would I want to read anything on my shelves) I have decided to go through ACOSF a second time. Red tabs will be for smut and blue for times Azriel is mention (cause siphons). I may be obsessed with this book too. I might have returned a book on audible to get the audiobook.

This book was everything I could hope for. Though I haven‘t experienced what Nesta has gone through, just the way SJM writes about mental health, it just resonated in my soul and I felt such a connection to her. These books mean everything to me and are my happy place where I can escape the world and the thoughts that creep through my head and try to drag me down.

This book can have all the stars in the world and forever a place in my heart.

I cannot get enough of this book. Halfway through and already want to reread it. It‘s leaving me a bit 🥵🥵🥵 I‘m pretty sure I like Cassian and Nesta more than Rhys and Feyre. And I love Azriel even more than I did before and I need a book that is him, but not shipping him with Elaine. I currently ship him with someone else. Also because I find I get in my head too much like Nesta I‘ve started body combat. It‘s fun.

I finally have one of my copies! I ended up buying the ebook and haven‘t been able to stop thinking about this book. I‘m only 22 chapters in and already this is right up there with ACOMAF in my opinion.

This came at the right time because I got accepted into grad school yesterday!

I got surprise #bookmail today. It definitely lifted my spirits after feeling like utter poo after having my second dose of the vaccine. And it takes my mind off waiting to hear about my application to grad school.

I started writing the book that has been an idea in my head for months, but quickly got drawn into watching Night Stalker on Netflix. I may not sleep tonight.

Three chapters is not enough and I need the rest now. I can‘t wait for my copy to arrive.

My January reads. Two for a book club, one reread, and one audio.

Only a few pages into meeting Jake and I love him already.

My #bookspin list for February. One, two, and three are for a book club so I know I will at least getting those read and I fully plan on dropping everything for ACOSF.

I got myself a new bookshelf for my bedroom and I absolutely love it 😍 I can now display my favorite authors and things how I‘d like.

I have not been one to read short stories, but I enjoyed this one. I listened to the novella and that just broke my heart. This was so good.

This was just as good as the first time I read it.

Little tabs are all the pages Azriel is mentioned on.

I think this is the only book that has been able to get me through rough days and anxiety attacks. I love getting lost in this world and these characters. (Tabbed is all the mentions of Azriel thus far, because I can‘t stop now).

Also random question. Has anyone gotten the vaccine yet and did it leave a bump?

So I am halfway through my reread of ACOMAF and I started listening to it today at work because honestly this is the one thing that makes me happy right now (this is day four without heat in Massachusetts). Would you count it as one book or two if you are reading/listening to at different t parts?

This has been a ridiculous and unexpected day off. What started as maintaining the dogs while someone came to check our heat turned into a gas leak. Everyone is ok and the gas is shut off, but good golly could 2021 be a little nicer.

This book bored me. It was well written, but my goodness. I had a hard time paying attention and following. I‘m glad it‘s over.

Is it normal to be going through a slump so soon in the year? I‘ve barely read anything in two and a half months. I have so many good arcs to read and yet I don‘t want to focus on anything.
