Look, I know I'm not a handy person, but that commentor who said that it took them 5 mins to build this thing is a freaking wizard, there's no other explanation.
It took me at least an hour, AND I hurt my back!

Hey, but at least it looks cute?

It was an impactful look into South Korea's impossible beauty standards and extreme social disparities, and yet, the tone wasn't bleak and tragic. It really surprised me!

Sometimes, things just work out: you cried all the tears in your body while watching Hotel Del Luna, and it just so happens that you have an anthology about star-crossed lovers just waiting to be picked up. It's like it was meant to be!

First real outing in 84 days (yes, I've been counting), and where do I go? A bookstore, of course!

I did not need any more books to read, but it's not like I was going to let that stop me.

Super happy with my haul! I mostly wanted to get my hands on the books Amazon failed to deliver to me all those months ago.

#owlsreadathon2020 Arithmancy: a book outside of your comfort zone

It was outside of my comfort zone because it's a full-on romance, and because Anne-Marie McLamore's writing didn't win me over the last time I've read something by them.

I can see why people would love it, but it still wasn't something I'd have picked up by myself if it didn't come from numerous Night Circus recs.

What do you do when you're social distancing? You ask yourself weird questions, like "What if I lived in a house made of books? What would be my foundations?" and then this is what happens!

So, a bit of Fantasy, a bit of Historical Fiction, Magical Realism, graphic novels, Asian Lit, and what I'm calling "Mythological Feminist Poetry"

My review on Goodreads was apparently controversial because I dared to say that the main character was too passive, too dependant on other people and that she resigns herself to a bland life without a fight... I stand by those opinions.
