An examination of cunning folk in history, from their heyday to when they began to lose their influence. Cunning folk are practitioners of folk magic, which is different from witchcraft, no pact with the devil is assumed. It's a fascinating and well researched book and a must read for anyone interested in this topic.

A very good abridge version of occult history from the ancient to the emergence of Wicca.
Something in the Walls is an excellent horror/thriller novel. Mina, a child psychologist, and Sam, a journalist, travel to a small Cornish town to investigate a girl who believes she is being haunted by a witch. What they find in the village is even more horrific. There are many creepy scenes that had me racing to the end of the novel. 4 stars.
I enjoyed this. It‘s part travelogue and part history of witch hunts/persecution of predominantly women in both Europe and the US. Sollée is a practicing witch, so there are mentions of supernatural experiences she has in some of the places she visits. I liked hearing about her experiences, but it might not be for everyone. ??♀️

Set in a small village in 1989, this spooky novel spans a UK heatwave with strange happenings centering around a young girl. Newly graduated, Mina needs experience using her adolescent psychology degree & in a grief support group, journalist Sam finds an opportunity for both of them both professionally but also in the hope of contacting their lost loved ones. Eerie, with some predictable turns along with chilling scenes, I couldn‘t put it down!
