I love this collection SO MUCH! Nikita Gill is one of my favorite poets and I adore the way she gives alternate perspectives to known myths.

I‘m an effort to make progress on my TBR stack this year, I decided to add reading poetry at least once a day. Nikita Gill is always a good choice. #greatgoddesses #poetry #nikitagill
My first Nikita Gill read on my much loved Greek Myths and it didn't disappoint!
I enjoyed all of the poems but nothing brought me such joy as reading her take on Hephaestus 💕
Wow.
The only thing I don‘t like is deciding if this will go on my poetry shelf, or with my mythology books. Both sections are overflowing, naturally.
I‘m loving so much about this book.
I really enjoyed this book of poetry.
Going to give this one a try now.
Nikita Gill continues to amaze me 💖 love her work!!
Loved this refreshing take on females and monsters of Greek mythology! I listened to the audiobook and the author reads her work beautifully.

#poetryswap2021 thanks @Chrissyreadit its perfect!
I‘ve been MIA this week, and done very little reading this month, mostly due to the Cheltenham Literature Festival. The whole event, running from 2nd-11th October, was live-streamed, and I watched quite a few events “live” (including 3 actually in person, in a venue, as part of an audience😱), and since then have been watching the rest of the events on catch-up - there‘s over 130 to get through! One that I‘ve watched featured Nikita Gill⬇️
A truly astounding book of poetry on my favorite subject: Greek Myths and Classics. I did not expect anything less from Nikita Gill, who is my favorite contemporary poet. Her insight into the characters of Greek mythology is unparalleled and he prose deeply thought provoking.
At last, some dialogue between Athena and her mother, Metis ♥️
I like the modern takes on gods and goddesses, but I think this wasn‘t as impactful on her take on fairy tales. I enjoyed it, but nowhere near as much as Fierce Fairytales.
I sprained my ankle yesterday which is keeping me from all my anxiety cleaning and pandemic-induced yard work right now, but I am getting caught up on the woefully overdue reading of this pick by @TsundokuAleax for #lmpbc
I also finished the audiobook I was listening to, as well as another book today.
I think it‘s safe to say the pandemic and being at home for a month has not hindered my reading. I read 22 books in April: 8 physical, 10 ebooks and 4 audiobooks. I have one more month at home before I return to work, and I‘m excited to see how many books I manage in May. How has the pandemic affected your reading? #stayhomeandread #readingwrapup
This was a great read. While I did not love individual poems like I did for the previous one, I love the overall story journey even more. To see the gods in their original stories and imagine how they would handle the modern era was wonderful. It was beautifully done and the modern lens of gods was so fascinating to read. #lmpbc @Schlinkles @bookandcat
#owlsreadathon2020 Astronomy: read a book when it's dark outside
I'm forever whipped for Hades and Persephone.

How‘s your day going @OriginalCyn620 ?? I managed to finished the tagged book and have given up on work for the day with a promise I‘ll be extra productive tomorrow 😂 I‘ve read the first chapter of the second book and am enjoying it so far!

Next read. Been in a bit of a slump this month, need to just jump into something to give myself a kick start and what better way than with poetry?
Walked out of Barnes and Noble with only two books and one game.
Soo, this is my pick for the next round. If anyone wants something else, I have a few picks on standby. #lmpbc @bookandcat @Schlinkles

Recent book haul. I‘ve been wanting to re-read Spoon River Anthology.
