dabbe I worry about Maggie. She ignores the rabbits and lets them starve to death and takes out her aggressions by stabbing a doll voodoo-style while in the attic. This can not bode well for her psyche. And Tom loving-hating her within minutes. Granted, what she did to the rabbits was awful, but still. 2d
Bklover @Bookwormjillk @dabbe You‘re right about the rabbits. I‘m even mad at her for that! But I hate all of this “I won‘t love you anymore”. Even mom says it. Anyway. I just wanted to mention the last sentence of the chapter is gorgeous! It‘s the narrator speaking about childhood memories. 2d

mcctrish @Morr_Books I‘m team Tom too! He asked 2 people to check on his rabbits and they both let him down 👎🏻👎🏻 and he‘s not allowed to be upset ( mom is a bit theatrical with the drowning ) 23h

Leftcoastzen I was miffed everyone let Tom down as well , it was a simple ask , Maggie is young but should have been able to look after a couple of rabbits. The parents don‘t look after her , I know people had plenty of work in those days. 3h
