Quick & fun read. 🕺

Tamra All I see in my mind‘s eye are the characters he plays so wonderfully in Mary Poppins. 2y

It‘s been a crazy weekend, so not much reading going on. But I can‘t miss the chance to celebrate @MrBook on this momentous occasion. He certainly is one in a million and has brought such heart, joy and humor to our Litsy life. Whenever Mr. Book talks about his latest reads and eats, I‘d bet he looks a lot like the guy on this cover.😆Rock on Mr. Book! 😎🎉🍾🙌🏻

Dick Van Dyke is undoubtedly charming and delightful. The book is just not terribly interesting or engaging.

My favorite memoirs are the ones that leave me appreciating and liking the author more at the end of the book...but that actually didn‘t happen for me with this book. It was a good light read that took me back in time though. And he did have a few interesting stories. So there‘s that...

Just finished reading Tolstoy...this is the perfect follow-up to lighten the mood a bit! Dick Van Dyke had me laughing right off the bat! 😂

A memoir by the lovely and talented actor. It was an easy, nice and pleasant read. And that's both a compliment and a criticism. I felt as though Van Dyke glossed over and sanitized some of the more difficult--and therefore, interesting--stories from his life. 3 stars

TieDyeDude I didn't mind that it stayed light and glossed over the darker bits. Probably helped that I listened to the audio and just enjoyed his voice! 😁 6y
Amiable @TieDyeDude I thought it would probably work better as an audiobook 6y

Absolutely adore DVD. This audiobook was highly enjoyable. The section where he interviews Carl Reiner is priceless.

Dolly Sounds like the audio is the way to go here. I loved his show growing up and as a kid who didn‘t like any cartoons or almost no sitcoms that says a lot. 🙂 6y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Dolly yes, and he narrates...he such a good soul. Yeah, I was kind of the same...although I did love Scooby Doo 6y

I feel like I‘m in a slump unless it‘s an audio. I have many great books to read but I don‘t feel motivated to read. I was so busy last month I didn‘t have the time; now I have the time but no desire. Ugh 🙄😩😂

Also I am enjoying this, I love Dick Van Dyke! Makes you feel better about getting older no matter what.

(I changed my profile pic so don‘t be alarmed 😆😊)

Dragon Sounds interesting, stacking! 👍😀🐉 6y
Trashcanman I saw the Pic and I was like who's that? It took a few seconds to process. Hope you get out of your slump 6y
Ash.on.the.line @Trashcanman thanks, I hope so too. I know a bit drastic going from black and white to color lol. 6y
Ash.on.the.line @Dragon it was interesting, he comes off very genuine and funny of course. You get a little of his life, and how to grow older gracefully while having fun. 6y
Dragon I definitely have to check it out 👍 6y
