A sweet heartbreaking book about a boy who confronts living with / dying of cancer. I teared up in places. Did not expect to like it so much so this was a pleasant surprise.

Reading this with my Granddaughter! It was a recommendation from her. I love that we can share our love of reading!
I can‘t really argue with my progress this year, and I don‘t even have the excuse of the quarantine room at work to blame this on!

This was a phenomenal novel by Dan Gemeinhart. “The Honest Truth” is the type of book I will pick up and fall in love with it all over again. It was heartbreaking, moving, and laughable, all in one book. 10/10 would recommend!
Headed into Dorsey today, first up Sidmouth. #VirtualTour
How was Friday? Strange 24 hours after vaccination. Last night shivers and aches all over. Today no aches but two spells of shivers again. Known for always having hot hands but in middle of today they were cold. Then hour later felt fine. Now just very tired. Trouble sleeping last night.Three productive meetings today. Then made two people‘s weekends by offering them permanent contracts.
I am so excited to pick up “The Honest Truth”. “The Honest Truth” is about a “normal” kid named Mark. He loves photography and has a dream of climbing Mount Rainier. One day, he packs his camera, notebook, a one way train ticket, his pills, and his dog named Beau and sets off to Mount Rainier.
I was pretty disappointed in this. The premise sounded awesome, but fell flat. The side characters were forgettable and I struggled to get through the second half.

Very well done middle grade book that follows the friendship of two young girls who are told they shouldn't be friends as they both try to navigate their war torn city. These girls broke my heart with their bravery and desire to simply do the right thing.
