pickNearly there on #BookSpinBingo.
This is a fun mystery, and I like that it makes a lot of use of the sci-fi setting to shape the mystery and the events around it.

pickLucy lives in the quintessential NE town and works at her mom‘s cozy coffee shop, but has attitude about pumpkin spice lattes, which her shop doesn‘t serve. She‘s caught the attention of Jack, the new boy in town. But when Lucy finds out that Jack‘s parents own a national chain of coffee shops, the one responsible for the PSL craze, and their newest location is across the street from her coffee place, it‘s game on!

On the road for two more weeks-6 weeks total!- so must resort to my terrible handwriting. Many of the longer books on the list are half-read, have been languishing on my TBR during the worst reading slump in a decade. I‘ve gotten my mojo back on this trip!! @TheAromaofBooks #bookspinbingo

Here is my #NovemberTBR!

pickA truly exceptional historical horror novel. Taking place during the Dark Ages, much of the horror is from the reality of people during this era in Europe. There are religious supernatural elements as well. Our main characters are a dishonored knight, a 12 year old orphan girl and a mess of a priest. They go on a quest and much horror occurs. It is dark and sad, but has a great ending. Loved it! 5⭐️

pickA powerful storm is headed to a small coastal town in California. The rising water brings with it a mysterious squid-like monster that leaves locals and tourists stranded and fighting to survive more than the flood waters. This was a lot of fun. The characters were likable and interesting enough overall and the action was cranked up to make for a thumping good read! I‘ll definitely be reading more from Castsnela‘s Dark Earth Rising series.
