Autumn's Game | Mary Stone

4.5⭐️

Dr. Autumn Trent is a forensic psychologist, who has a unique gift. She can touch someone and know their thoughts, as well as their past. Autumn first made an appearance in the Winter Black books.

Autumn is asked by the FBI to help with a case in Oregon. Someone is killing people who are divorcing. This had a few twists and turns in it. I know some haven't liked that Justin Black is showing up in this ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read book, but Winter's story isn't over, as this is book 10 in that series, with this being the 1st in the Autumn Trent Series. There is a new twist in these books, Autumn doesn't know what happened to her sister. I think Stone is going to let us know in the coming books.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

Mehso-so

I expected Marcellus to be more central and necessary to the story than he actually was. I liked the beginning and the end, but was bored by the rest.

Tova reminded me so much of Britt-Marie that I kept forgetting the book took place in the Pacific Northwest 😂

2/80

Continuing my reread of the Chronicles of Ixia - as with the first book/companion, Snyder has published Valek's POV as a companion for Magic Study. I enjoyed reading these in tandem even more, as Yelena and Valek aren't together for large chunks of time, meaning that The Study of Magic has more of its own story and was less repetitive. Thoroughly enjoyable.

This was a beautiful and touching story!

I loved the premise. It‘s about a magical bookshop that only appears during cherry blossom season and when certain conditions are met (the person has to be reading the same passage at the same time as the owner). I love reading books about books so naturally the story appealed to me.

My December #bookspinbingo board. So close to completing them all! But I didn't finish the last two in time, was distracted by shiny mood reads 😂

This is the last book in this series (and the only other one I‘ve read is book 2) but I will make my way through the others. Viggo, a romance book lover and hopeless romantic, strikes a deal with Tallula, a thriller writer and non-believer in love. He will help her with a romance sub-plot in her 2nd book, and she will help him get his bookstore ready for its grand opening.

After publishing 84 Charing Cross Rd, Hanff finally got to visit London, meet many of her pen pals in person, and geek out about being in the same places Shakespeare and other beloved writers had been.

This brought back fond memories of my week in London. So much history, everywhere! Written in diary format, this takes you right there, into her silliest encounters and deepest awe.

Faranae I was so charmed by 84 Charing Cross road, I was afraid to read this. I'm glad to hear it's holding up, so I can maybe go read it after all. 23h
willaful @Faranae I think I related to this one even more because I don't really share her tastes in literature but I definitely share the desire to connect with literary history. I don't think there's anything horribly dated about it. 23h

I first read this book in 5th grade, I think. I enjoyed the reread. Margaret has moved to a new town and will start 6th grade. I laughed at some of the things they did. Her secret friend group had exercises 35 times at night saying, We must....We must....We must increase our bust. I think every girl going into 5th or 6th grade, should read this book.
