October 2nd #scrathlon photo challenge! Skeletons! This is a picture from my office. I have skull heads everywhere! #creepinitreal #cir

Found the #skulls (emery boards) in Costa Rica & got the card somewhere on a round trip in Nevada.
Like everything surrounding the Day of the Dead - it's a beautiful way of connecting to the beloved departed ones. Being slightly goth/underground in views and lifestyle helps with that, too...😂

A continuation of my last post: more spooky Storytime books!
I want to take a moment to specifically acknowledge Skulls! by Blair Thornburgh. I don‘t think it gets enough attention & it‘s WONDERFUL. It‘s a nonfiction picture book about how skulls & skeletons aren‘t scary; everyone has a skull in their head! It‘s got a silly, sort-of morbid humor & conveys factual, scientific information in spare, simple text. Plus, the illustrations are fab!
To state the obvious, if you are intrigued by things like skulls, skeletons, medical curiosities, and all things macabre, you will really enjoy this book. If you don‘t enjoy these things, this will probably be a waste of your time. The photos are well done and the author remains respectful of the collectors and their collections at all times. This is probably going to be filling a spot on my coffee table for a long time!

Just got this in the mail today….definitely my type of book!! 😂💀
I‘m digging into my #HHS package from @kellyann28 💀! Warning: documentation may happen slowly. I have about a million things to get done this morning (including making our costumes for a party we‘re going to at 2pm 🙈).
But I *LOVE* this tissue paper! Definitely going to open up these babies slowly & try to save it. 💯
I love this author, and I wrote about graverobbing and resurrectionists in my dissertation, so this should be a book I love. But I don't. A friend gave me a late birthday gift book, and I just sorta forgot about this one. That's about the most damning thing possible. Oh, well. I left the bookmark in place, so I can come back.
Not very far along in my reading. I had to go out and try to find my father some eggs. As of 5 pm we are under a “shelter in place” order probably for at least a week.
So we did some last minute errands. But I did finish my audiobook and my skull diamond painting. This thing took months. #24in48
