I brought a bunch of books to our local used bookstore, clearing out some shelf space. So it was clear what I had to do next, right?? 🤣 I need some help, though, Littens. The Last House on Needless Street | Catriona Ward

I‘m in #SanDiego California for work and was able to go to this super cool local bookstore, Mysterious Galaxy.💫📚

They specialize in fantasy, sci-fi, YA, mystery, and horror. Awesome atmosphere and inventory, plus really great staff. They recommended the tagged book for those who like gothic haunting stories.

Oh, and you can‘t beat the views or the weather here. Wish I could stay longer!

This is a new little book shop in our town!! I went in today for the first time and love it! They are planning to have a book club too! I‘m really excited! The only thing that I wasn‘t crazy about is that the books are arranged by color 🤪 NOT alphabetically by author‘s last name! But that‘s just me being ocd!! Can‘t wait to shop here! I‘ll post my purchase from today next!

5feet.of.fury Yeah, I‘ve seen color order in a flea market, an I accept that because it‘s much easier to redo the books that way once they get picked over… but in a bookstore… idk 2y

ImperfectCJ I'm not sure it's ocd to want to know how to find a book. But if someone comes in asking for a title can they find it? If so, then maybe this is an interesting way to encourage browsing. (I'm not personally a fan, but trying to be open-minded.) 2y

KathyWheeler @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I hope they do too. It looks like a cool store, aside from the color coding. As a librarian, I‘ve had my share of people asking me about a book they read when the only thing they could remember was the color and a vague description, but it‘s not a practical way to shelve books. 2y
