What entertains me about my #indexcard collection is I don‘t differentiate between physical, e-book, or audio, thrifted, pre-purchased, or library loan - it‘s just stories I‘ve consumed. And good lord, I need the spoilers written on the backsides to re-open the ‘pages‘ locked in the cavernous halls of my brain!

I‘m a mood reader but can‘t believe I stayed on theme for the entire month! My issue is I stacked my Oct TBR all year and need an additional couple months to flatten said TBR so I‘ll just redate tomorrow to Oct 32!

I don‘t write down my feelings about the book though. Instead I use the lines to write plot points and spoilers that will jog my feeble memory when trying to recall just what was in the books I read 🤪 3mo

For the most part this month I selected books based on cover art providing me a summer feel. I‘m a mood reader, and as September settles in my reading plans take a drastic turn. No telling if these books would have made it off my 2025 TBR so I feel good about this wrap up! #indexcard

Well, I‘m minutes away from hosting my 10 month-old grandson for the next 4 days and 3 nights - by myself! And some of that daytime will also include his first cousin and my 22 month-old grandson. 3 year-old twins will be in Branson, MO and - goodness I love them- told there parents‘ they‘d rather stay with me! ….I think it‘s safe to lock in my #indexcard collection for May!

It‘s April and once again my tax bill was significant. So this #IndexCard display represents in part a game I play …. In my head I subtract $15 from my tax bill for each new release I‘m able to nab from the library. This month I subtracted $225 - not bad, but I have a long way to go 🤪

slategreyskies I‘ve seen that some libraries will keep a running tally for you and print it out on your checkout receipts. It‘ll say something like, “So far this year, you‘ve saved $435 by using your local library.” I think that‘s a really good idea, and I wish my library did that. I‘d find it fascinating to see my tally go up over the course of the year. 8mo

marleed @slategreyskies oh my gosh, that‘s a great idea! A few years ago I received a breakdown that showed how much of my state taxes went to support the public library. I thought it was fascinating and realized at the very least we should all read enough library book to match those amounts. 8mo
