Hazelwood has done it again! I just always enjoy her characters and the substance in her writing. The added bonus here was the appearances of Adam and Olive from The Love Hypothesis!

I can definitely say, that Lynn Painter writes beautifully. I liked how this book, came from two different points of views, and that both of the characters were different. This is an amazing love story, and I really enjoyed reading it.
Finding a strange man passed out at her brothers door on her first night of moving in, Tate is unsure what to think about this strange guy. Learning he is her brother‘s friend, Tate lets him into the apartment and unknowingly will begin to let him into her heart but at a cost. Miles is unemotionally ready for a relationship and only wants the physical aspects. Can Tate accepts only being a friend with benefits?
James is set to be the next big thing in American football but he needs to pass his course. Bex wants to finish college so she can go back home to run the family diner. Bex ends up tutoring James in exchange for him fake dating her to get rid of her ex boyfriend.
Yet with every fake kiss and hug they begin to fall deeper for one another.
Their chemistry is strong which makes it easy to become immersed in this sports romance. 4🌟
Despite all the acclaim surrounding this book, I could not muster one iota of sympathy or even empathy for the main character/narrator. I found the narrator to be unreliable but I‘m not sure if the author intended to use that storytelling method. I feel the intent was the main character was narrating as a confidential confession, but the ease with which he lied to friends and casual acquaintances made his confession feel hallow.
Monday finds me on #Seattle ‘s UW campus, where each of Barrett Bloom's steps feels borrowed from the day before. We get glimpses of Mount Rainier and references to Mercer Island and Bellevue—PNW has my heart. 🌲
