Requiem (Delirium Trilogy 3)
Requiem (Delirium Trilogy 3) | Lauren Oliver
'The new Hunger Games... ' Cosmopolitan He never loved me. It was all a lie. 'The old Lena is dead,' I say, and then push past him. Each step is more difficult that the last; the heaviness fills me and turns my limbs to stone. You must hurt, or be hurt. An all-out uprising has been ignited and Lena Haloway is right at its centre. But things have changed. The Wilds are no longer a safe haven for the rebels and pockets of resistance have opened throughout the country. And when a face from her past reappears, Lena is faced with a devastating choice that could tear her and the revolution apart. 'Un-put-downable, a truly fantastic finale.' Guardian

3✨ I liked how it ended up because that was the ending I was hoping for in regards to who Lena ended up with. There was loss, and a large battle that was interesting to get through. The end did seem sudden. It would have been nice if it wasn‘t open ended, but Wong complain that it gave us as the reader the opportunity to interpret the ending. #SeriesLove last in the series @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

I finished this series. I enjoyed the book, and the characters. This one was told by Lena, of course, but also a cured characters from book 1. I enjoyed seeing the stark differences. I was slightly disappointed that there wasn't a bigger ending. A larger revelation. Something to provoke a strong reaction like books 1 and 2 ended with.

Wow I haven‘t posted in like a month 😬 April was really a pathetic reading month for me. Most of my books were audio. I started a couple audios and then quit them (Red Queen and Before We Were Yours). I think it‘s just my mood. My favorite books from April were P.S. I Still Love You and Worth Fighting For (sequel to Fighting to be Free). I hate reading slumps 😩

On to book three of the trilogy! Book two had a lot of timeline jumps, but this one shifts between perspectives, which I think I like better.

Enjoyed this last book of the trilogy. I assume it‘s a trilogy. Will there be another book, anyone? The U.S. determines that love is a disease and needs to be eradicated. Some people do not want to be cured.

Velvetfur Interesting premise.... By the way, did you get my letter around Christmas or New Year time? 😊 6y
Anitareads As far as I know it's a trilogy and this is the last book. 6y

1001BooksPodcast When these first came out, this was optioned to become a tv show but shy never happened. Hence why the ending is a little open ended I think. 6y
tracey38 Great trilogy. I don't think there is supposed to be another book. 6y
BookishGamer87 There's a book with 4 short stories/novellas called The Delirium Stories. Really hoping to get to this trilogy this year ☺ 6y
Slajaunie @1001BooksPodcast That‘s interesting. 6y

I liked the book overall but it ended badly and did not provide much closure. A bit predictable as well but overall ok. I mean if you have read the first two books I guess you have no choice.

Overall I enjoyed this book, but I feel like it left me with so many unanswered questions. Not the way I wanted this series to end.

That was a pretty good conclusion. The end of Lena's journey was full of big battle scenes & crazy thrilling moments — much more traditionalist in the YA dystopian genre. That part was very enjoyable! The love triangle was not. Frankly, as in most cases, it was a waste of time — especially when you KNOW who she's going to be with in the end. So ridiculous 🙄. Still, the fantastic writing and interesting plot make this well worth the read! ★★★☆☆.

This was my favorite book in the trilogy by a long shot. I loved the dual POVs and getting to see what happened to Hana after we left her at the end of DELIRIUM. I loved that Alex was back (I'm an Alex and Lena shipper - fight me) and that things were complicated. And I loved the revolution. I loved the fight for their beliefs. I just loved it. And Sarah Drew! She was the best audiobook reader for this trilogy. ❤❤❤

First book was great. Second was meh. This one was better than the second, IMO, but I feel it could've been shortened considerably. With that said, I ultimately don't regret reading it, so it's a so-so for me!

stargazerblue49 I skimmed this one. I got annoyed with the love triangle rull quick. 8y
monalyisha Loved this video of LO explaining why she ended things the way she did. (The sound was out of sync when I watched it, just as a heads-up). http://lauren-oliver.tumblr.com/post/45265352285/i-know-the-ending-of-requiem-ha... (edited) 8y
monalyisha Aaaaand leaving that video reminded me of this one, which I like even more, and which you should watch only if you've read Maggie Stiefvater's "Wolves of Mercy Falls" series. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ApB_kgtJGI0 8y
TrishTheBibliophile @monalyisha Thanks so much! I have read the Wolves of Mercy Falls series. I will check them out!! 8y

I am almost always disappointed by the last book in YA dystopian trilogies. Matched, Hunger Games, Divergent- I hated the endings. I honestly can't think of a YA dystopia that has an ending that doesn't make me crazy. Consequently, I went into this book with very low expectations. I was shocked. It was actually good and had a satisfying ending. #mindblown

Yournewfriendsams I enjoyed this too...and was also surprised! 8y

This book has one of the worst ends I ever read. Everything is open ended, all action take place in the last pages. I only conected with Julian. Not even with Lena, who is more insecure that even in the first book. Is from the pov of Lena and Hana. ⭐️

BookMusings Yeah I wasn't happy with this series... :( 8y
