This is an amazing history so far but I have to rethink how I am ingesting this information. May be necessary to get a physical book too.

This year my mom and I adopted the Icelandic tradition of Jolabokaflod or "The Christmas Book Flood." We each made a list of books we were interested in and bought off those lists!

Mine was this lovely paperback here! And now I will settle in with my Christmas book and enjoy Jolabokaflod!

I picked this book up from Book of the Month Club! I thought it would be riveting but I was able to guess the mystery within the first quarter of the book. The last half was a trial for me to get through and with mediocre writing I didn't find it suspenseful at all.

After a few so-so thrillers, Good as Gone was a refreshing take on the missing child genre that had me guessing until the very end. I couldn't put this book down and devoured half of it in a single day! I think that fact along speaks for the book! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A true testament to grief and loss, The Red Car is a story that mimics a persons thought process! I highly recommend it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book has a bit of everything: mystery, romance, all wrapped in a historical fiction casing. The characters are dynamic and the plot kept me turning the pages until the very end!

I was really excited for this book but I found the plot very predictable and both characters hard to connect with until the very end.

I liked this book. Each chapter reads like its own short story and the characters weave together with a careful precision! The store is about Eva but also the people who influence Eva.

Liked the premise but I couldn't get into the relationship between Sloane and James. The book is also set in a world that has a lot of misconceptions about depression and suicide. I wanted to like it but in the end there were too many inaccuracies.

After all the hype I decided to listen to this as an audiobook. The performances were great, but I found the plot predictable and only really liked Rachel. Not to mention it left me with an intense feeling of loneliness.

Three sisters narrate their story as one entity when they return home to nurse their mother who's been diagnosed with cancer. An interesting narrative style, but I can get behind it. Good quotes about Shakespeare too and living with a genius.

I loved this ending. While this is a dystopian story it has a strong engine. Lena's story may have come to a close but it has a very satisfying ending! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After the way Delirium ended I couldn't help but dive right into Pandemonium. Lena's transformation in this book is beautifully written and is a strong second book in this trilogy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really enjoyed this book! I listened to the audio version narrated by Sarah Drew who gets the teenage voice of Lena so perfectly! Beautiful performance of a powerful story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wasn't really thrilled with this book. It was an interesting perspective but some phrases kept pulling me out of Evie's infatuation and bringing me back to the real world. The writing was beautiful but I think the plot could have been fine tuned a little more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was so excited to get an ARC of this book. I loved this book. It was a unique and tense tale of a high school senior who may have killed her best friend. The story is told from the first person, and intercuts with police reports and interviews. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can't remember a book that I connected with as much as this one. The story is about a man and his dog but I think it is poignant enough to transcend the love people have for their pets and be a story of love, loss, and forgiveness between people. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Can't say enough about this book! I feel that it is an important read for today's culture. The fact that it is fiction doesn't diminish the message of this book. Dialogue about consent needs to be opened up and this story illustrates why, perfectly.

Made good progress on this today. Ani is a complicated character. Full thoughts will come later.

I went into this blind and while the first few chapters had me hooked I found it hard to maintain a solid interest in the main character. More so, the ending of the book was week. Eva deserved a better story and some more characterization. ⭐️⭐️

I really liked the ending of If I Stay so I was weary to read this. For the first half I was really taken aback by what Adam had become. In the end I was glad that I stuck it out! This book was beautifully written and did give needed closure.

"There is only one thing in the world shittier than biting it from cancer when you're sixteen, and that's having a kid who bites it from cancer." (Page 8)

It seems odd for me to say that I like the book, it would be more accurate to say that I like Tessa and her voice and insights! She's a witty character who, in the space of 300 pages, finds out what's important in life and about living.

Good book about a famous writer and his wife! Really well written! At times it was sad but by the end of the book I really missed these characters. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a 19th Century novel!

This book is awesome! I love the wit in each poem.

Loving Fanny! The man character of this book! So artistic and relatable!
