1. Seeing Garth and Trisha at the Library of Congress made me happy. It was a notification from Facebook that I very nearly ignored...
2. What‘s next on my TBR? No idea! I know it won‘t be anything from my Kindle because I left it at work. 🤦🏻‍♀️
3. Weekend plans involve one last trip to the library to LOAD UP.

If you‘re in the Washington, DC area on Monday, you should definitely stop by the Library of Congress! It‘s one of two days a year (President‘s Day & Columbus Day) that they allow the general public into the Main Reading Room to take photos, and they usually also have a section of the stacks open for you to explore, too! Oh my, I think my life is now complete. Just spent four hours on a private tour of the Library of Congress including lots of areas not open to the public. It was incredible and the staff were so generous and passionate about what they do all day.

The Library of Congress runs the National Library Service. NLS is a free braille and talking book library service for people with temporary or permanent low vision, blindness, or a physical disability that prevents them from reading or holding the printed page.

I planned on going alone this weekend to my first #NatBookFest, but my husband got offended that I didn't even ask him. 😬 So now he's picked out the authors he might want to see and is even strategizing how to maximize our time, especially since according to him, I'll be the one wasting valuable time in line waiting for the Diana Gabaldon book signing. Also, I just found out Nathan Hill will be there, so now I'm even MORE excited! 🙌🏻

This little reader makes our hearts melt. She got to be a "Librarian for the Day" at the Library of Congress. Daliyah Arana is 4 years old and has already read 1000 books! Carla Hayden, Librarian of Congress, invited her to D.C. to spend the day with her when she found out. She's the picture of perfection. Books and libraries matter! ????

The National Book Festival hosted by The Library of Congress is this Saturday in Washington, DC and it should be a really great time! I'm *hoping* to hear Marilynne Robinson, Yaa Gyasi, Colson Whitehead, Mary Roach, Charlie Jane Anders, and Noelle Stevenson speak while there. Any other Littens going? I can't believe it...yesterday I said I only had one photo I took from a bookstore or library on my phone. I was wrong. I forgot about all the photos I took at this slice of heaven at Christmastime, 2014! So here is a belated second #somethingforsept for yesterday...hat tip to @Merethebookgal for her post which reminded me that this is, technically a library, even if I classify it in my mind as a heavenly place! 👼📚✨
