Starting small with my first Nov TBR in a few years. Wish me luck!
So it has been a long time since I've been on Litsy, and been able to read really. I've missed it!
A lot has happened in the past couple of years. I got married to the love of my life, then found out days after our first anniversary that he had cancer, but thank God he has beat it! Now we're coming up on year 2 of being married and I'm so thankful for every moment we've had together.
Now to read a sappy love story to get back into reading! Lol
I‘m back from a bit of a break from reading. I‘d like to say that I was too busy doing important things but really it‘s because the new Animal Crossing came out. 😬🤣
But now I‘m trying to make it a point to read on my lunch break so I won‘t go so long without reading. So fingers crossed this works lol 😁
Look what just got delivered 🥳
Ever since I found out that these comics were compiled into a book a couldn‘t wait to get my hands on it. A second book is on its way out soon so I cant wait get that one also.
I love these beings lol
I‘ve been following some digital art classes by Lisa Bardot from Bardot Brush over the past couple of days and I‘ve really been enjoying it! This is my first attempt at this sort of style so it could definitely use some work. Lol
She‘s a great teacher and makes it way less intimidating to try new techniques. If you‘ve wanted to get into digital art I highly recommend checking her out!
Okay so this #quarantine thing has me starting so many different books it‘s not even funny lol
But I‘m super excited that I found this book. It‘s like a little owners manual for my personality 🤣
It‘s a super short read so I‘ll probably finish reading it after work today
1)1984
2)It‘s hard to choose!
3)Books a Million
4)The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
5)Pride and Prejudice (2005)
6)Way more books than I care to admit. 📚
7)I like this one, even with all its problems.
8)The Book Thief (I knew it would be a sad one but I was not prepared to have my heart ripped from my chest💔)
9)Read 20 books in 2020
10)On my front porch during a rainstorm 🌧
11)Hardy Boys Mysteries 🔍
12)Anyone who cares to play along! 😁
Scrolling through my pictures on my phone and saw I saved a ton of these comics. #strangeplanet #nathanwpyle
These never fail to make me laugh 😂
After reading a little on my lunch break today I looked at Pinterest and this so happened to pop up on my feed 😬
At least it goes with the theme 🤣
Finally getting to sit back and read some more of 1984. I‘m enjoying the book so far, however, it is a little alarming at how much our some aspects of our society reflects that of the dystopian Oceania. 😬
Okay so apparently I went on a 10 month reading slump. 😬
During this slump I totally lost track of where I was in my reading for other books so it‘s looking like I‘m going to start fresh!
Starting with a new book! 😁
Alright fellow Littens. It‘s been the craziest past two weeks I have had in a long time. I didn‘t get to crack this baby open once! 😭 but I‘m finally going to sit and read it today! *happy dance* 💃🏼😂
I will give updates and a review on it like I have past books. So stay tuned! 😁
Look what I just got in the mail! I got this advanced readers copy of Dark Blossom and the author signed it! 😍 can‘t wait to dig in. My TBR list keeps getting bigger and bigger. Lol
After a busy past few days I‘m finally able to sit down and dig into this bad boy! 😁📚
Just got this new Early Reviewers copy from Library Thing! 😍 I am still going to be working on my Alice in Wonderland Collection but I have the feeling It‘s going to be playing second fiddle for a while. Lol 😊
Not book related, but I was too excited not to share. I found this Victrola on sale for $26! Then realized that I didn‘t have any records. 🤦🏼♀️ so I went to an estate sale and found these three 1947 record books in great condition for $24 total! These are the songs that my grandpa played and sang for me when I was little, so I am ecstatic! 😁😁
About to crack open this beauty! 😍 I don‘t remember every reading these stories but I‘ve seen most of the movie adaptations so I‘m excited to see what they got right and what they‘ve changed. 😁 (P.S. can we just talk about this Alice in Wonderland pocket watch necklace?! Books a Million FTW! 😍)
I really enjoyed The Cassandra Complex! It had a very interesting story line and it kept my attention. I wish the books were a little longer so that some developments didn‘t seem so rushed. But all in all! I‘d give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‘s and will probably read this series again! (Book # 4 is in the works so I‘m already excited to revisit the series!)
Sitting down to finish this novella! Yay! 😁😁
After some belated spring cleaning I‘m finally sitting down to dig into the final book in the A Place In Time trilogy! Let the fun begin. ☺️📖
I started this book today and finished it within a couple of hours. It was very interesting! The storyline was kinda hard to keep straight and it harkens back to The Continuum, so I highly recommend reading them one right after the other. Overall I am really enjoying this trilogy, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On to the last one! 😁
I enjoyed this little Novella! The writing style was nice, albeit a little cliché at points. The pacing was pretty good with only a slow spot here and there. There were a couple twists that I didn‘t see coming, which is rare. Overall a very enjoyable read, I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can‘t wait to read the next book!
Also during the last few chapters all that went through my mind was “wibbly wobbly timey wimey”. Lol ?
Finally getting to read on my lunch break! 😍📖 this novella is pretty good. I‘ll leave a more in depth review when I finish it.
Alrighty! Now that I have recovered from The Book Thief, I have started digging into this novella. It‘s pretty good so far. Nothing life altering but still interesting. This is the first book out of a trilogy so I will be sure to review them all. 😊
Okay so apparently my house was wayy to cold an environment for my first succulent. (I live in Florida, indoors vs. the outdoors might as well be different ecosystems half the time. Lol 😂) So I moved it outside, and... got it a few little friends. I left the new ones outside for a week and they are doing much better in more sunlight and warmer temps! so fingers crossed it‘ll pull the first one from the brink! 🤞🏻
(Please read above first! ❤️)I loved this author‘s writing style. The story really pulled me in and I found myself loving every character in it. I figured, given the subject matter that it would be sorrowful, but I did not expect to be affected the way I was. That said, I highly recommend this book, so long as you can handle the author‘s descriptive writing of the events and aftermath of WWII. Now I‘m off to find something a little less heavy. 📖
Not book related, but, I made a mini Coffee Bar near my reading nook earlier this year and this weekend I decided it needed a bit of a makeover. I definitely prefer the white to the bronze(ish) color. It fits with my decor much better. 😁
This book is sending me on an emotional roller coaster ride. 😭 I read 250 pages in one sitting because the story pulled me in and wouldn‘t let go. 😫 Now if you‘ll excuse me, I‘m going to read/do something a little more lighthearted to recharge. 📱📖
I am so excited! I got an ARC from LibraryThing for The Cassandra Complex. Sci Fi is my fav genre, so I have a feeling I‘m going to love it. I haven‘t read this series before but I was hooked up the first two books as well! ❤️😁 I‘m fixing to settle in for a Weekend of Reading. 📖
(Update on The Book Thief. Still really enjoying this one. I haven‘t had as much time to devote to it but I am planning on finishing it soon. Review to come!)
Still enjoying this book! Such a great story and awesome writing. There is some strong language that I typically shy away from. So if you don‘t like profanity, this book may not be for you.
On an unrelated note, after years of killing any poor plant I laid eyes on, I think this succulent might be the one thing I can‘t kill! (Hopefully. Lol) Keep this guy in your prayers. He‘s gonna need it. #prayersforplanty 😂
Can I just say how much I love this app! ❤️ While I prefer physical books it is wayy more convenient to borrow an digital or audio book from my Library. And it‘s completely free! A+
Usually I‘m a fast reader but with this book I‘m wanting to hang on every word. I love this storyline and writing style so far! Glad I finally picked it up!
I identify with this on a personal level. Lol 😂😂
This is totally me with A Tale Of Two Cities! it‘s just sitting in my DNF list staring me down. 😂😂 I‘ll have to give it another shot one of these days.
TBH this line was what pulled me in. I don‘t know what that says about me as a person. Lol
Y‘all. I know I‘m new to this Litzy thing but I about lost my mind while it was down! 😂 (not to mention my impatience made me post the same thing 3 times. 🙄😂) Send Help. Lol
Decided to change things up and read an Ebook. 📱I‘m so excited to read The Book Thief! I have the feeling there is going to be a lot to unpack with this one but just reading the first few lines drew me in immediately. So here goes nothing! 😁
This was such a great book! Truly thought provoking, but it‘s still written in a way that anyone could read, enjoy and learn from it. I highly recommend it! 5⭐️s

This is so relatable it hurts! 😂😂 But this year I am planning on reading a lot of books on my TBR (that I already own of course 😉)
After a long, but fulfilling week I‘m finally able to sit and read more of this guy! It‘s been a great read so far. I already have people in my family wanting me to hurry up so they can read it. 📖
Thanks to @sudi for tagging me! 😊
