pickA simple cozy murder mystery. The novel is set in a campground in Normal, Kentucky. The characters are “cutesy” and not very complex. I read this in a bit less than five hours. Readers who enjoy cozy mysteries, will find it an easy read. 3/5
pickThis is my team‘s #buddyread, and it was enjoyable enough. I haven‘t read any of the other books in the series so I don‘t know if I can fairly judge. But it was festive and fun!

pickI had fun, caught up with the Laundry Club. Loved the introduction of Mae‘s foster mother who she was initially reluctant to welcome back into her life - but soon warms too. This series is as much about the everyday lives of the citizens of Normal as it is whatever murder Mae comes across. Mae‘s first date with Hank was a beautiful cheese fest. Looking forward to the next one!

panThese so far is my least favorite of the series. I had the mystery figured out very early into the book. I also didn't think there was much else going on that was very interesting. I've enjoyed some of the other books of the series, but this one wasn't as good as those. I like the cover though, it looks so Christmassy.

She‘s part of a book club with various characters and the small town is quaint. The MC sticks her nose into police investigations to solve murders. The mystery wasn‘t much of a surprise, but there was a small twist at the end. The narrator wasn‘t that good, IMO.

On no planet would a cop let his girlfriend take home a murder suspect because they're friends or let his girlfriend constantly interfere in his investigation.
