Always the perfect summer read! I enjoyed this Elin Hilderbrand story as one of my “farewell to summer” books as the summer is winding down and the fall will be coming soon. They always make me want to plan a vacation to Nantucket!

16% through & life's too short.
All characters immediately detestable (pretty much). I would say the rich ones are entitled & self centered, which they are but somehow even the other ones are too. What kind of 50-some y.o.s still act like they are in highschool and actually maintain friendships? This confounds me tbh. In reality if I wouldn't give condolences to someone for losing a spouse, I'm not spending a weekend with them. Wth.
The pacing of the novel was perfectly balanced, effortlessly blending moments of levity and introspection. Hilderbrand's writing style is engaging and immersive, making it easy to lose myself in the story and lose track of time. The effortless flow of the narrative kept me engaged, eager to witness the twists and turns that awaited the characters....

Aahhh such a great summer book! Hilderbrand‘s Nantucket books are the best summer reads and this one is excellent! Ticked all the boxes for me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Elin Hilderbrand‘s books feel like going on a summer vacation! Well… this one in particular might feel like watching a reality show drama of a summer vacation. Grab your popcorn and a beachy drink and be carried away to Nantucket (without even leaving your own house)! 🎧
This is not my typical favorite style of book, I hated all of the characters and thought the ending was wildly anticlimactic. It was a book club pick so I listened to the audio and got through it quickly.
A lush, rich, beautiful story. set against the vibrant, backdrop of Nantucket. Great book for your beach bag, didn‘t stop reading till the sun went down.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A recently widowed woman invites 4 close friends from different parts of her life to join her on Nantucket for a “five-star weekend”. Current and past individual and interpersonal drama unfold. A fun, beachy read with enough next to make it interesting.

1. The Five-Star Weekend (but I‘m loving my current read so we‘ll see)
2. The characters and their individual & collective stories
Thanks for the tag @TheSpineView
A good reminder that just because you don‘t speak with some friends every day, they can often be counted on and rally.
Listened to this on audio and loved it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
While this would make a great beach read, I can read her books anytime, anywhere.
The setting, characters, drama and fluff all hit the spot.
I really need to read Elin Hilderbrand‘s other books because I loved this one. This is the second one of hers I‘ve read and I‘ve loved both of them. This one had me feeling all kinds of emotions throughout the book. Definitely a five star read!
Good beach read with a lot of fluff and a little drama. I enjoyed it a lot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love Elin Hilderbrand and her fun summer books, filled with drama but also lavish descriptions that sucked me in !
A perfect beach read. I am sad that my vacation and the book are over.
3 stars. Frothy & fun, but, in the last 50 pages, forced. Female friendships are explored, which I liked. Vivid, lovely descriptions of Nantucket, scrumptious-sounding food, & an intriguing love interest don‘t quite counteract the forced ending. Pop culture references are overdone. Still, my neighborhood book group‘s summer pick was a fun read at the beach. #beachread #nantucket #frienddrama
Hollis is my favorite in this book. All that can happen in a weekend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
1* All her books are 5 ⭐️ for me!
2* The fast pace - I couldn‘t put it down.
3* The beach 🏖️🌊☀️

I‘m late to the Elin Hilderbrand party. Last year I read 28 Summers 🩷and the Winter Street series 🩷🩷Just read the two pictured 🩷🩷🩷. I‘m all in! Just in time for her to stop writing. 🙁 But I have a lot of backlist to turn to. I decided to read the rest of her books in publication order.
Five-Star Weekend is a 5⭐️ book! It is the best Hilderbrand I‘ve read, and I‘ve read 11 of her books. Pitch perfect emotion! Definitely go audio, Erin Bennett is a wonderful narrator.
Hollis is a Nantucket local turned summer person turned famous lifestyle blogger. When her husband dies unexpectedly, she brings a best friend from each phase of life together for an unforgettable weekend that is “surprisingly” filled with drama and reckonings.
Elin Hilderbrand is a go to for me…and she did not disappoint with this one. Loved the characters and storylines ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Five Star Weekend was a FIVE STAR LISTEN 🫶🏼✨✨✨✨✨ #AutoBuyAuthor 🙌🏻 I adore Elin Hilderbrand #QueenOfSummer 👙🍹🩴🏖️ and narration by Erin Bennett is such a comfort 💖🎧
I‘m LOVING the newest Elin Hildebrand book! It‘s AMAZING and I‘m tickled pink with joy from the adorable bday card from @jenniferw88 Thanks so much, Jenny xxx and thanks to @marleed whose review of Five Star Weekend pushed me to start the Hildebrand audiobook immediately ♥️

I'm so not upset about the flash-flood warning that's keeping me from working this afternoon. Perfect reason to sit my ass on the couch and start this one 😁🌧️
This is Elin‘s penultimate Nantucket summer beach read and I enjoyed every minute of it. I couldn‘t help but imagine hosting my own 5* weekend with four friends from four distinct phases in my life. Unfortunately for me neither the food or the accommodation would be nearly as enticing. But just like her, the friends would be great. ↓
The audiobook I preordered is now available on my Audible app. I‘ve never read a book by Elin Hilderbrand. I‘m looking forward to reading it.

#titlesandtunes Continuing the #GuiltyPleasure June read along with @Cinfhen @BarbaraBB - this was a perfect beach read in my new camping hammock. Camping in my own yard that is. This book had playlists and I think I like the author‘s taste in music and the rich descriptions of decor and food. I wish there were recipes! I enjoyed the characters and rooted for each one. I give The Five Star Weekend 4 ⭐️!
1. We‘ll do our annual beach vacation in July. 🏖️🌊
2. Tagged - haven‘t read it yet but I plan to.
