The newest addition to my Aesop's Fables collection. A happy find at the thrift store.
Decided to read the oldest book listed on the “1001 books to read before you die” complete list. Though I‘ve read some of the fables or heard about them throughout the years, this is the first time I‘ll actually sit down and read a proper collection of them. And I have two to choose from, both beautifully illustrated! Anyone read them all?
Got these two beauty‘s, 2 for $10, at Barnes and Noble yesterday! They have great deals through until September 3‘rd! 50% off bestsellers and they have bargain deals on a load of summer reads. ☺️📚.

"printed" books for the visually impaired were introduced in Britain in 1827 (though they first appeared in France at the end of the 17C). This embossed work uses the Roman alphabet rather than the Braille system we're now familiar with and was published in 1838. It's a lovely item, I'm not sure how effective the illustrations would be though...
I just gave in and also started an Instagram account, so this is cross-posted because I'm pretty proud of the picture, lol. Husband's favorite book and color happen to be purple!
I am not a fan of poetry, so how about some fables #riotgrams
These two are examples of #FablesAndFolklore 📚 #UncannyOctober @RealLifeReading
My collection of #fablesandfolklore books (and also fairy tales, but they are kinda the same thing). I have original stories, retellings and modern versions based on some classic fables or folklore. I think I might have more hiding on my shelves, since these kinds of books are some of my favourites! 👌

Yesterday's project :) bookshelf is finally up!! Part 2 is to add some terrariums in between :)
I love checking out new bookstores when I'm traveling. This little one was in Saint Augustine, FL.
It's Monday. You deserve something pretty to look at so I rounded up 10 beautiful Victorian-era children's book covers for the folks at @bookriot This one is my favorite-- didn't use any filters on it and look at those colors! http://bookriot.com/2016/09/12/10-gorgeous-victorian-childrens-book-covers/
