I recently read The Infernal Devices series, and I loved it. So I‘m excited to read this one!

I am posting one book per day from my to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new - don‘t judge me I have a lot of books.
Join the fun if you want. This is day 76.

This short story collection following Simon as he trains to become a Shadowhunter and try to regain his lost memories was a good follow up to City of Heavenly Fire! The short story format is really refreshing, and overall the stories were pretty enjoyable and a good setup for The Dark Artifices. https://amysbookreviews.com/2020/08/26/i-got-bored-and-decided-to-binge-the-enti...
Don‘t get me wrong- it was nice to visit some of my favorite characters from the series- particularly Tessa & co., but Simons‘s overarching story did not hold me. Maybe it‘s because Simon was never one of my favorite characters or maybe because the characters around him seemed whitewashed and not at all complex, but I found the whole book kind of saccharine and nostalgic. This read more like fan fiction to me than a Cassandra Clare classic.
Doing a re-read/re-listen of this in preparation for Chain of Gold, and I‘m enjoying is so, so much. I don‘t even usually like novella bind-ups, but this is most definitely the exception 🖤
I just love this book so much I really did miss reading the shadow hunter world so much can‘t wait to read the next spinoff series soon!
This book kept me interested throughout, each story adding a little joy to the place in my heart that is reserved for the Shadowhunter world. I am always impressed how all the worlds and all the families are woven together. Still recovering from the very ending though.. that may take a while /:
But I am a reader, which is pretty much the same thing!

Having a super minor medical thing done today that I‘m irrationally freaked out about, so I‘m switching back and forth between two books for distraction. Send good vibes please 💜
I enjoyed it. Sad about the end though.
It wasn't holding me. May come back to it though, but for now, I have to bail on it.
I feel like I know Simon so much better after finishing these stories. I loved getting read about the academy and the new generation of Shadowhunters. I definitely need to finish The Bane Chronicles now.
A book that includes a wedding for #PopSugarReadingChallenge.

"You are who you have always been, and that is enough and more than enough."
It‘s been years since I read a Shadowhunters book. I forgot how easily I get sucked it. These are rather good.
I wasn‘t sure about the writing at first, but it got better as I read. I couldn‘t put it down and really enjoyed learning more about the history of some Shadowhunter families. I‘m a fan of the Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series. If you like those, this book is definitely worth the read.
Drinking tea and finally making progress in this.
It definitely wouldn‘t stand on its own, but it‘s enjoyable because I know the characters and I‘ve missed my Shadowhunters. 😊
It is always good to visit the Shadowhunter World.
These pans of sourdough cinnamon rolls are heading to work with me tomorrow to share some holiday cheer. I have brought a couple of pans with me each day to give to various departments around the hospital. #audiobaking
I got to fall in love with Shadowhunters all over again.
5/5
This is so high in my tbr. I just need to finish The Mortal Instruments first 🖤

Way too much Simon and Isabelle angst. The last 3 stories saved it from being 2 stars, even with that ending. Rating: 3 stars
"Feeling this way was a particular kind of horror, having the emotions without the memories"
Loved this collection of stories with Simons journey into becoming a shadowhunter ! What made it even better was all the characters that made an appearance from her other books 💕💕

I can't stop laughing at this 😂😂
Also how I'm feeling every time Simon and Izzy are together #bookwormproblems
I plan on doing nothing but reading today 🙋🏻
I'm hoping to finish this monster of a book by the end of the year, fingers crossed !
I'm absolutely loving coming back into this world and learning about Simon's journey after TMI 💕 #currentlyreading
just an amazing book! my love for this author and this saga will never end 😍📚
I finished it. I laughed, I cried, honestly, it‘s everything I wanted and more 😭😍 these novellas are why @cassieclare1 is one of my favourite authors; honestly, the amount of feelings she packed into these novellas are nothing short of perfection! And I‘m on to Lady Midnight right away 😱 #CassandraClare #Bookstagram #bookish #bookblogger #bookdragon #bookgeek #yabooks #yalit #talesfromtheshadowhunteracademy #bookobsessed #tbrsmash #book
Hello again Littens! This book, honestly! I don‘t even know where to begin! It‘s been flawless so far! I love how Clare and the authors have brought back so many amazingly familiar Characters! Also, I haven‘t been able to put this beautiful book down 😍 #Bookworm #cassandraclare #bibliophile #bookaddict
I loved this book! It was a collection of novellas about Simon's time at Shadowhunter Academy. We also jumped back in time a lot, telling the stories of other notable students at the Academy. I forgot to put it on there, but this particular quote was said by Jem Carstairs in one such flashback.
Reading at midnight is a favorite activity of 'creatures' of the night. 💙 It's never too late for an adventure!
The 24hrs are up where I am. I might only have reached 8hr30, but I finished the 2 books I had been reading FOREVER and made a good dint in part 3 of GWTW. All in all I'm quite pleased with my progress ☺️

I don't know why I continue to read Cassandra Clare when she always makes me cry 🤧
This was a great anthology, following Simon through his time at the Shadowhunter Academy and culminating in his ascension to the rank of nephilim. All the story's were great in their own way, but I am a huge Malec fan, so the story with the quote pictured - Born to Endless Night, was my fave.
And Magnus is hilarious as always! Baby in a sock drawer hehe

I am awake again, have a HUGE chai latte at the ready, and will now disappear again into this book ❤️

The Fiery Trial was about Julian and Emma's parabatai ceremony also known as the Fiery Trial. Simon and Clary were witnesses to the event, and in preparation underwent the trial of water where they decided to become parabatai themselves.
This story hurts a little, as after reading Lady Midnight and knowing Lord of Shadows will be just as heartbreaking, I don't want Julian and Emma to be parabatai! I know what that look means 😢😭🤧

It is 12:03am in England, and I am kicking off #24in48 by continuing with the next story in this anthology 😇
