This one was totally different from the first, and I'm not sure I like it as much. It's still a solid story and I enjoyed trying to unravel the mystery of who Zalachenko was and how he and Salander were connected.
Intrigued to see waht the final installment will contain.

This is the next novel in the Trilogy, I read the girl with a dragon tattoo recently and I began this book a few weeks ago. The book is similar to the first in the way there is excitement, action, and mystery. It keeps readers on their toes not able to expect what's next. It is a good sequel that follows a good first book.
In this book, I identify with the work rate that some of the characters have. They are trying to release a book and working very hard for it to happen, there are many difficulties but they figure it out and find a way to keep on going.
"Nobody was innocent. There were only varying degrees of responsibility."
??️ Lee Bermejo
I found the mystery here far less compelling than in the first - and, honestly, it feels like the author did too. We didn't have the same sense of investigation either and the payoff was disappointing. Add to that too much unnecessary detail (how many coffees, exact shopping lists, exact routes etc.) About banalities and not enough about the crimes...
Also - why do so very many characters have surnames that begin with B?
I love all the perspectives! Some characters are really nasty and others are on the line of moral. The story is thrilling, although a little long at some points. The fighting was the right amount. I'm still rooting for Lisbeth!

Put a big dent in this while working on my library today. Had to stop to eat and because I have a raging dust allergy headache, also because I ran out of bookshelf space 😢. I lost a bookcase moving (it fell apart), 2 of my small bookcases have been designated for other things (one will have cookbooks on it in the kitchen/dining room), Man Cub needed a shelf in his room, and the other is going in the living room (it may end up with some books).
The reason why Lisbeth behaved like she did was unveiled and i felt pity for her. The system could destroy a person, so choose your policymakers wisely.

#bookreport week 6/6/20 @Cinfhen
Finished Moving Pictures, The Final Problem and The Wall of Storms.
Continued Sense and Sensibility.
Started The Girl Who Played With Fire.
Another quality read. The way this man tells a story does not leave you wanting for anything. He is a masterclass story teller.
Working on this one, I hated the girl with the dragon tattoo until about halfway through. Hoping this one is interesting throughout. Oh and it‘s missing a piece of the cover bc I got it at the used book store and someone cut their name out of it 📚❄️
"When she came to her senses again she cut off all contact with him. It had not been easy, but she had steeled herself. The last time she saw him she was standing on a platform in the tunnelbana at Gamla Stan and he was sitting in the train on his way downtown. She had stared at him for a whole minute and decided that she did not have a grain of feeling left, because it would have been the same as bleeding to death. Fuck you."
I‘m hoping the #fallisbooked photo challenge will help pull me out of my slump and get me excited about some books on my shelves! So here‘s a book I REALLY need to get to soon before I forget about the first book! #orangecover
Starting The Girl Who Played With Fire tonight. I first read this trilogy back in 2015, so it's nice to come back & revisit. I do wish List had a re-read option, instead of moving it back & forth between the 'have read' & 'reading' shelves.
Not as good as the first book. And I found the ending a little far fetched but over still a good book. Will definitely continue the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Made good progress on this last weekend when I spent ~14 hours in a car driving. Really enjoy the story. Some of the characters really bother me with who they talk about women but I can‘t decide if it‘s the characters I don‘t like or the writing...less than 6 hours left to finish this one but it‘s due back to the library soon so I better get on it.
Lisbeth and Mikael are back. Another fabulous read. Highly recommend
Okay, so the book had some twists that I wasn‘t expecting and with an ending like that, I‘d be royally P.O.‘ed if I didn‘t have the third book! Also, just found out a 6th book in the series is due to release this year.
Stieg Latsson investigated and researched far right groups and the murder of Olaf Palme. A book on his research will be coming out: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2019/feb/06/stieg-larssons-investigation-of-sw...
Larsson is easily becoming one of my favorite authors. His writing seems to drag on in places because he describes the boring everyday things that Blomkvist and Salander do and with any other series I would hate it. But I love knowing what Salander gets up to in her free time and seeing their development as a whole.
more mystery, but less lisbeth. also, too much of a cliffhanger.
Oh my God this book was great. As with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, the first 200 pages are a bit of a slog, but my does the pace accelerate from there. Absolutely did not see the twists towards the end coming.
And that completes the 2018 #ReadHarder challenge! It's been very rewarding. Can't wait to start on 2019. (I may have already started on 2019)
#ReadHarder challenge 23: a book of genre fiction in translation
Definitely enjoyed the second book in the series (6 years after reading the first!). Onto the next one.
This is one of my favorite book series I absolutely love Lisbeth Salander she is a great strong heroine. 5/5 stars. One more to go hope her injuries aren‘t too bad. 😬😬😬
#getmovin #justlikefire I need to get caught up on the picture challenge!!! 😳
Wow a bit late getting onto this trilogy but worth the wait 👍
My boyfriend and I found a used book sale today. This is our lovely #bookhaul. 😄📚 The only downside is that the second book of the Millennium Trilogy isn‘t a hardcover like the other two I have. It‘s going to bother me, but it was only 75 cents, so I got it anyway. I‘ll just have to replace it at some point. 😂

Borrowed this one from a co-worker yesterday. It's been a good read so far... #reading #fiction #crime #girlwhoplayedwithfire #geeky #hacker #lisabeth #salander
Audiobooking along with the book. I know I am super late to the game, but love the books. Not sure if I will read the new books after the 3rd. Having a lovely bookish Easter weekend. Watching ASOUE on Netflix and possibly going to Ready Player One tomorrow!
200 pages less would have done it, too. Man, this sure was slow paced.
This book is full of motherfuckers. Oh my friggin god. I hate them SO MUCH omfg this isn't fair. The original title is so accurate: "men who hate women". FUCKERS. (Excuse my french, y'all.)
Irgendwie komm ich hier nicht rein..200 Seiten lang passiert ja einfach mal nichts und der Fokus scheint leider kaum auf Lisbeth zu liegen 😕 dabei hab ich mich so gefreut von ihr zu lesen.
