Such a great romance novel. It can get a bit confusing with Lydia's two lives, but I am a sucker for a good romance novel.
My ginger ale exploded! I could cry right now 😭😭😭 I can‘t believe it got all over my book 🥺
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 easily one of my favorite books this year! I felt every emotion so deeply and loved how intimate the writing was. Must read for anyone who loves a good cathartic cry!
Yay! My library hold finally came in.
I had picked up One Day in December on a whim mainly because I liked the cover. I read it in one sitting, so I couldn‘t wait to get this one.
So I‘m putting aside my other reads and will be diving into this one.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ This one was okay. I didn‘t love it but I didn‘t hate it. I thought it was a good book about grief but Lydia relying on sleeping pills in order to escape into the dream world with Freddie was distressing. And there were choices made by certain characters that didn‘t always make sense. But I enjoyed participating in the discussion with #sundaybuddyread because we could all vent about the parts that frustrated all of us!
When Lydia‘s fiancée passes away unexpectedly, her world comes crashing down. One night she takes a pill to help her sleep and her deceased fiancée appears in her dreams. Is her mind playing tricks on her or is it something more? This had a lot of promise with Lydia leading parallel lives. However, they squandered an opportunity to explore the importance of the premise. Lydia had one foot in each world, but neither seemed to make her happy.
I get that she's grieving and hurt and I get that she knows she's being hurtful and mean but wow she's being hurtful and mean, I'm sure it's not just her suffering, I feel insensitive but I'm not a big fan of her right now, that said, I think it's an interesting story so far!
Onward (and hopefully upward) to my next library hold!
My favorite thing about the book was the way that grief was handled. I thought that the author did a decent job with that, for the most part. I didn't really connect with any of the characters, but I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. I didn't like a few of the plot points throughout, and though I liked the ending itself, I didn't much care for the workup to the ending. Overall, decent, but not very memorable #Sundaybuddyread
Can't sleep anymore this morning due to acid reflux. ☹️ I guess that happens when there's a 5 lb baby where your stomach should be, but man is this 3rd trimester momma tired! Oh well - I guess it's time to catch up on this on for the #Sundaybuddyread discussion today!

Here is how I would cast them for a film production in my neck of the wood. All talented true young actors.

I was quite moved reading it. I was hooked, great FL for me. It also resonates with the other book I‘m reading - A Gentleman in Moscow, a little before mid book he tackles the same idea, in regards to what makes history, in hindsight. ?

It‘s the sliding doors for books. You can see the ending almost at the beginning
When I started this book, I said I was hoping for a fun read. I don't know if I'd call this book fun, but it was lovely. I cried, and I felt Lydia's struggles, but I never felt that it was too heavy to pick up. I cared about the characters and their journeys. Recommended!
I skipped a day of reading after forcing myself to finish the previous book. Now, I'm on to the next. I'm hoping for something fun to read.
This was beautiful and heartbreaking and I loved it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This was a heart wrenching story of love, loss, and having to courage to build yourself back up again. 5⭐️
#CoronaBreak Book 8. I say that I hate romance, but then I weep during a book like this. Sigh. It was predictable, sure, but suspenseful enough that I wanted to keep reading. I have to give Silver credit in that she made me feel every single one of Lydia‘s emotions, good and bad.
