Not that far into this book yet, but I like Ally. She‘s stronger than she knows. It kept looking like it was going to rain out there, but it never did. #audiowalk

This was just WOW!
Ally's story is gutwrenchingly beautiful.
It ripped-out my heart, stomped on it, then tenderly put it back together. This one drained me.
It is only the 2nd book in the series and I'm already seeing the greatness that awaits me.
I still have many questions... But also I still have many books to read.
Trying my best to avoid spoilers now that Atlas is out

My #MagnificentMay #ReadAThon didn't go quite as planned.
I knew the first 2 days were gonna have no reading time.
But the week was supposed to be relaxed.
Work situation had other plans and even on Saturday I had to work instead of read.
So I only got 628 pages, but I added audio hours as I commuted back and forth.
Thanks @Andrew65 for hosting.
Love stories set in several timelines. It was nice and easy book to listen to. 🎧
This is the second book in The Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley. It follows Ali as she deals with her father‘s death and other things which lead her to find out about her true heritage. It was a very touching story and I loved it. Just started officially my #20in4 readathon. Yesterday was spent seeing family and travelling so not much time to read there. 😁
This was the nice, easy comforting read that I needed. I enjoyed the 19th century setting in Norway and the plot around famous composers was fascinating. Like a few people have mentioned, I couldn‘t connect with Ally either. But I‘m looking forward to the next book! (Check out my out of control tbr read piles on the shelves! 🤦♀️ arghh! Must. Stop. Buying. Books!!)
This prompt made me think of Alcyone, one of the sisters in Lucinda Riley‘s series. #halcyon #beautifulwords
I have to admit I didn't enjoy as much as the first book in the series. Predictable in places and a little trite in others, but over all I did enjoy. Like the first, this book time hops back to the ancestors of main character, highlighting feminist issues of the time and retelling periods in history. The arts feature strongly, this one focusing on music.

This is the 2nd book in Lucinda Riley's The Seven Sisters series. I am absolutely loving this series. It has a unique blend of phenomenal women, conqueror their own journey's of life, blended into beautiful historical tales. Absolutely beautiful 💜
Getting started on the 2nd book in The Seven Sisters Series 💜
Loved this book as much or maybe more than the first book
I really liked this one. Initially I liked the family history story better than Ally‘s present-day story, but I thought Ally‘s story picked up as the book went on. Have to admit I really disliked one thing that happened at the start, but if it hadn‘t happened that way, the rest of the story may not have worked the way it did. Also disliked something that happened in the 19th century storyline, but that was explained later on.
Where the first book in this series had me wishing I was in Rio, this book has me listening to classical music
Starting my next audiobook today. Bit strange to hear the narrator doing an accent when the previous narrator didn't. Makes sense that she does but gives a completely different vibe after the last book
My favourite book, in one of my favourite series, is available for a super bargain of 99p at the moment. Love the Seven Sisters series and this one made me 😭 and 😭. Simply loved (and hated 😂) this story.
This is book 2 in the series, and can‘t wait for November when book 5, The Moon Sister, is published.
#ReadingResolutions Day 9: For #DNFBooks I only have one this year, thus far. I just couldn‘t get into the series much as I wanted to. When I found myself rolling my eyes heavenward more than a couple of times and arguing with the characters in my head, I thought I better give it a pass. Maybe if I had been younger, I would have loved it more? I just may be in a diff headspace at the moment. Still hoping I can get back to it in the future.
Not as good as the first book but still enjoyable.
I plan on reading all the books in this series about six adopted sisters and their mysterious father. When he died, he left clues and coordinates for each daughter so they could explore where they came from and discover more about their births.
That being said, "The Storm Sister" was very predictable and there were absolutely no quotable quotes. The historical part of the book was my favorite to read. The current storyline left much to be desired
I hate when you know a character is pregnant and she can't even figure it out despite ALL the signs.
If it turns out I'm wrong, I'll let you know.

#JuneItsElectrifying Day 28: The Storm Sister seems perfect for #ItsElectrifying day. It‘s taking me awhile to get to the second book in this series because of #BOTMBookClub and #LitsyBuddyReads. We shall see how it goes. Paired with husband‘s olive oil and garlic pasta with scallops on the side.
Enjoyable read. It did throw up both clues and questions for some of the on-going mysteries. It hooks you up for the whole series :) I look forward to the next installment.
'In moments of weakness, you will find your greatest strength.'
"And as my heart took flight and soared upwards with the beautiful music, I saw a glimpse of the future. 'Music is love in search of a voice.' I quoted Tolstoy under my breath. Now, I had to find my voice. And also the courage to speak out with it."
4.5/5 ⭐️
What a magical ride this book has been! After the first installment of the series, it doesn't disappoint. And with the cliffhanger ending I just read..I'm lucky I already own the third book!
Oops, some tension going on on #page24ofcurrentread 😂😘
Hope to be finishing this one tomorrow!

#funfridayphoto A few books on my TBR for this year that are more than 500 pages long!
I love big books and I cannot lie 🤘🏻📚
I AM FANGIRLING SO HARD RIGHT NOW. I know this came out over a year ago but I just received a copy of it as a gift and I cannot even try to start explaining how excited I am to read this second book in the series (although my reading schedule is pretty full right now and I won't be able to get around to it until January or so..) Isn't it gorgeous??😍😍📚📚😱😱🤘🤘
Can't wait for the next book in this aerie to come out. Lucinda Riley never disappoints!
