1. Continuing my quest for the best French toast, pumpkin roll with cream cheese and spiced apples has pulled into the lead.
2. Today is hubbys big birthday and I ordered this watercolor of the place we met.
3. The Gorge on Apple TV is lots of fun.
4. Finished really tough jigsaw puzzle, as the pieces fit at odd angles and the colors were washed out.
5. Drove out to an old time chicken restaurant on the old Route 66.

These are all pictures from the India Blooms orchid show at the Botanic Gardens. My daughter and I go every year and the theme is always something unique and fun. That‘s a peacock in the middle and lower left is an orchid that smells like chocolate! It‘s a magical respite from the cold and snow. A full day of joy!

A quiet week thanks to a public holiday on Thursday (May is full of public holidays here in Germany).

I should have added: a lovely cup of coffee and some Christmas biscuits (leftovers in a tightly closed tin) while sitting outside in the sunshine. 😜🙈

It's Friday. 🎉🎉 And someone has to make a start. 😉

I cleaned my honestly tiny balcony on Wednesday, because the cat wouldn't let me do #audioknitting. As soon as I was done, #GhostCat vanished into her tent (pic above) and I could play with my yarn and knitting pattern.

1. I love most Pixar films, but I have extra love for Wall-E. I was watching it while planning my wedding and it inspired me to choose La Vie En Rose for our first dance.
2. Yes, my first car was a stick, but it‘s been years since I drove one.
3. Cloud Atlas. One of my favorite books but it didn‘t translate well into film.
4. Going to my son‘s last soccer game of the season. Hopefully some reading and knitting.

2. Of course I can drive a manual, I was born in the sixties. I prefer not to though as my left knee is rubbish.
3. The Dark is Rising was somehow turned into The Seeker: Christianised and abysmal.
4. I think the stars may have aligned and I can finally have a soapmaking session this weekend. They won't be quite cured by Xmas but I can always gift them with a Best After date.
