⭐️⭐️⭐️
A real LOL read. 🏈
This was like a night with girls friends with many laugh out loud moments.
February Book 4/25 #LitsyLove #bookspinbingo
I'm usually a sucker for a sports romance, but this one never quite drew me in. Promising start, but my interest continued to wane after halftime. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
A very fun romance. A little too many hashtag puns but overall very enjoyable
Yaaaassss! I stayed up past my bedtime reading this one in one go. A super fun romance. I‘ll definitely be picking up the other books in this series.
I. Devoured. This. Book! OMGEEEE, I love this series. I haven‘t read them in order, but that doesn‘t matter. I‘m 2 books in and both have been awesome!
Between the pop culture references and all the hashtags, I was LOVING this book! This may he my first book that I've read that combines a good romance with sports and the women who know what's happening during a football game! Marlee is super relatable in my opinion and I loved reading her story!
I've made a conscious decision at the beginning of the year to read more books written by diverse authors, including women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and members of the disabled community. I'm currently reading the tagged book and it's so good that I read more than half of it in one sitting! #blackvoices
This book is categorized as sports romance 🏈 I think this is a new genre for me! I enjoyed the sports and romance but there is a lot of drama among these characters!!!! Fumbled is the next book in the Playbook series, and I‘ll see if I can get ahold of it #cyoreadathon
Thank goodness I don‘t know anybody like this because there‘s no way I could keep my mouth shut! The way some of these women act you would think they were the athletes. Thank goodness I have my tea to offset my mood because right now I JSU want to slap one these folks. 😕
If you‘re having some fun this month, and reading light hearted, fast paced, quick witted rom coms like I am, you should really consider checking this one out! I really enjoyed it, and have already suggested my library purchase the next in the series.
On another note, I was super pleased to find I have already hit 100 books this year! Cheers to a new job that allows me to work with one headphone in, AND has free wifi! 😍
This #romantsy explores the world of the NFL and the hierarchy and cattiness amongst the wives and girlfriends of the players. The MC is a long term girlfriend and she must endure the wrath and censure of the other wives as well as fans who blame her for any loss. After her relationship falls apart she hesitates to get into a relationship with another player, but the chemistry with Marlee and Gavin is strong. Enjoyable read, but flawed.
Beach read #2
Would have been a pick if it was not for all the hashtags after every paragraph. 😒 But I am all here for the biracial MC and biracial love representation!
Loved this! If you like contemporary romances with feminist leading men, and couples that have actual obstacles bigger than “I have baggage!” You‘ll live this. And it‘s genuinely funny! It‘s going to be a struggle to save Book 2 to read on my road trip this weekend and not immediately like I want to! #romantsy Plus its soon to be a TV show on Starz!
Lunch break with chilled noddles and lot of water. I‘ve stated this NFL romance and so far find it enjoyable. It‘s my first sports related romance so I‘m not sure how it‘ll compare. I‘m about 3.5 hours down. Happy #readathon
3.5/5
This is very fun romance. Sports romances are a new sub-genre for me, but I really enjoyed this book especially since the author was drawing on her own experience as the wife of a NFL player.
I really enjoyed this sports romance! Especially b/c it‘s clear Martin understood football and didn‘t just use it as a way to make her hero look better by being an athlete.

Why yes, I did go to the library even though I'm currently reading four books.
Every so often, I remember that my library has an awesome collection of ebooks and then I go a bit crazy.
Hackneyed. Cringey. Trashy. And yet, like a terrible car accident, I couldn‘t look (actually listen) away. I guess that‘s what they call ‘hate-reading?‘ I don‘t know. This wasn‘t a quick easy listen for me like some other Littens. It didn‘t feel at all like a story of female empowerment. Same old ‘damsel-in-distress‘ and her handsome prince. Ugh. The disgusting ways that random strangers (men) interacted with her felt very real, though.
I never thought much about the world of NFL wives/girlfriends, so this was interesting! #howjessreadsin2019
New to you author: Judith Ivory “The Proposition”
Betrayal: “Interception” by Alexa Martin

I honestly rarely read romance novels but I think I have entered a quest to find one that isn‘t cheesy, isn‘t raunchy and isn‘t cliche. This book came really close to fitting the bill. Really, really close. The ending killed me though. So. Not. Realistic. The timeline was silly but that‘s the realist in me talking that makes rom books not my jam. It was a fun book, for the most part. It was more fun than silly.
Fun fluff book. Good after you‘ve read a heavy book@and you need a minute! Lol
Sometimes your week is terrible, and so you read a somewhat trashy romance novel that was recommended in a Cosmo magazine because it‘s easy and fun and relaxing. This one was pretty good if I‘m being honest, but I felt let down by the pre-epilogue ending.
Sometimes a breezy romance and a mimosa is just what the doctor ordered. “Intercepted” is not a particularly good book-the writing is bad, the character development is spotty, the protagonist thinks in HASHTAGS which is deeply annoying. However, none of that stopped me from enjoying myself . “Intercepted” is a mess, but it‘s a fun mess.
What a read for football widows!!😉 A good read by a Colorado author! Look for Fumble out next year!! Inside the lives of football spouses and girlfriends 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️📚💕
Ya'll. This book was like The Real Housewives of Whereva lol It's a very sweet romcom set in the world of the NFL. Lots of flirty banter and petty haters. It's fun, but messy!
Alright so I'm giving this a "Pick" since I mostly enjoyed it, but I felt like it went really off the rails at the end. I'll probably pick up her next book, Fumbled, when it comes out.

This was cute and just the thing to get me in the right frame of mind for the next 31 days of nothing but horror. Marlee is dating NFL football player Chris. Marlee finds out Chris is cheating on her. Marlee leaves Chris. Marlee starts going out with Quarterback Gavin. This was very much the Housewives of Denver meets Football Wives. Marlee was hilarious and had all these cute and funny hashtags but there was a depth, an angst, I was missing.
