I‘ve read a few books by the author, especially the one that everyone knows her for and this is my favorite! It‘s a fun story and yes it gets a bit steamy but all of it worked and wrapped up everything nicely
Emily Charlton(The Devil Wears Prada) is reunited with her long-time friend Miriam and Miriam's friend Karolina (who is Emily's acquaintance). The three women take on scandle, marriage, motherhood, careers, and the suburbs through blunt and biting humor. It makes for an ok vacation read. #femaleauthor #womanwriter #laurenweisberger #whenlifegivesyoulululemons #beachread #vacationbook #humour #harpercollins #fiction
This made for a fun pool/beach side romp! And while the ending isn't super hard to guess it also didn't feel stale. I'm with Emily though, on feeling like I'll *never* move to the suburbs, haha.
It was also nice to get a little Miranda Priestly cameo! (I can't be the only one who effortlessly pictures Meryl 😄)
Sundays have become what I think of as my "Manhattan days". I take the subway into the city, meet my trainer in the park, grab brunch from one of my favorite spots, and just walk around before heading back to spend the rest of the week in BK. Today, I walked from the UWS to Union Square and just had to stop and support @strandbookstore ?
PS: I *wish* life would give me Lululemons, bc as a bit of an addict I can tell you that shit ain't cheap ?
A great beach read! It was fun to revisit Emily (even got a bit of Miranda 🤗) and to get to know Miriam and Karolina. Their friendship felt real and I enjoyed the women-coming-together trope.

I had a really difficult time getting interested and staying interested in this one... I kept forgetting which characters did what and how things were connecting. Definitely not a favorite.
Emily led her by the arm to the kitchen table and poured her a glass of cold white wine.
“Shouldn‘t you be making me chamomile tea or something?”
“Oh, yes. Tea really helps everything.”
You can picture Emily‘s eye roll. 🙄 Lauren Weisberger says what I‘ve been thinking for a while. 😂
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 loved this book. Always down for a good beach read. As the cover says it definitely reads like an episode of the real housewives.
Some days I find myself googling “Lauren Weisberger books” just to make sure I didn‘t miss any. Give me all of them.
I was given the tagged book by my son, along with a gift card to pick out a couple more! 😍🤩🥳

Light and easy...and funny. As someone who found Emily to be the best part of The Devil Wears Prada, this installment was actually preferable.
My second audio book done! Easy & breezy. Not the best, but I figured out how to work the app and with this light story of 3 woman‘s friendship, I didn‘t really need to worry about missing a minute or two.
A perfect romp through Greenwich, CT & the plethora of strange, wealthy couples practicing overt infidelity. I loved how, though we did get one scene with Andy & several with Miranda, this was all about Emily, now a PR goddess, & the life changes she makes to help out a bestie, Miriam, & Miriam's bestie, Karolina, as they navigate the dark side of federal politics & public image to win Karolina's impending breakup with her husband, a US senator.
Well, at least this one had a story line - albeit a predictable one. But it‘s like Weisburger just pretended Revenge Wears Prada didn‘t exist. No mention of the magazine and the timeline doesn‘t add up if that book happened.

June 27, 2019 eeekkkk almost done. Please do me a favor and LEAVE A COMMENT (don't be afraid) as to what book i should read next. Always happy to have new suggestions... preferably self care books and Adult bios or Adult fiction similar to the writing of Laureb Weisberger. Thanks. Much appreciated
June 25, 2019 Hello peeps!!! Onto part two of this fabulous addicting book. Lauren Weisberger is such a powerful and invigerating weiter. She really captures the reader's attention and connects to real life events and situations. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ what else can i say? um SPEECHLESS
June 19, 2019 My oh my! I have been good with books during the summer! I mean considering that i do not have to work I can read as much as I want. I started the book above like two days ago. I havent read much of it but Lauren Weisberger is a excellent writer. I never read any of the "The Devil Wears Prada" series but this is a great choice. Such an interesting read
Very ‘sex in the city‘ ish. Cute, fun, sexy, quick read.
Gona try a lighter read today. In the mood for something new.
June 6, 2019 Hi again! Im back on Litsy!! I know that I am not an avid contributor to adding books to this app, but when I do, I deeply enjoy sharing and showing the books that I read, will read, or have read. Anyway, I am posting this to reveal the next two books I will read next. I am super excited. I bought them at Barnes and Nobles in Emeryville. Happy reading
Didn‘t love it. Didn‘t hate it. But a nice break from the more serious books I‘ve been reading lately.
There is pretty much nothing better than a morning like this.
Our new couch finally arrived! I maybe bought a new couch because the old one was hurting my back when I was reading. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do for a comfy reading spot!
Enjoy Virginia Woof modeling it here!
This is a pretty funny read so far. There's some overused stereotypes of the skinny housewife, badly behaved rich people, etc. but it's a good mindless read if you need one of those. I just wish Target would stop putting the unnecessary stickers on the cover. #FirstWorldProblems
Also, I'm subbing at a STEM elementary today, and the kids are freaked out by my Zipfizz. They asked what experiment I did to turn my water orange. 🤣
Hey fellow bookworms! I just finished When Life Gives You Lululemons and I was giggling the entire time. Lauren Weisberger has tremendous wit along with giving you characters with depth. I would recommend this one if you want a light and fun read!
#hellothursday
1. Everything! The flowers, the weather, the smells! 🌷
2. The allergies....pollen is the devil
3. Lots of caffeine 😂
4. Walk to the beach and read or maybe just sit 🌊
5. My reading tatse are rather dark, but i do remember this being a light fun read. 🙃
$75 to the bookstore... what should I get?
I read classics, I read literary fiction, I read sci-fi and horror... and I read stuff like this. I contain multitudes.
This book was a light, fun easy read. Good vacation read but not really a lot of substance.
Had to put #Becoming on hold because the cold I caught has my eyes too watery to read, so I listened to Lululemons instead. I worried that a name-brand book isn‘t for me, but I got into it & now I‘m not sick any more. Just kidding; I‘m still sick, but I have a new bottle of off-brand cold medicine & another audiobook on #Libby.
My final Christmas gift for 2018. Thank you so much for your generosity, Erika! I am so lucky to have found Litsy this year and made so many reading friends. I can‘t wait to hang this ornament up on the tree and think of you year after year and am looking forward to starting 2019 off strong with these books. Thank you!!

This is the perfect, salacious chick-lit novel when you need a mindless, funny read. There are laugh-out-loud, as well as plenty of omigod moments.
There are also plenty of vapid characters, but it's on brand with the image Weisberger tries to create.
Well that was FUN❣️❣️❣️Thanks again @TrishB for putting this book in my hands 😀Totally over the top and beyond frivolous but that didn‘t stop me from LOVING EVERY PAGE. Can‘t wait to share this with Niki and note to self: I am NEVER moving to Greenwich xx
Woohoo 😊🍋☺️🍋#SurpriseBookMail from the awesome @TrishB 💛💛💛 such a wonderful box of treats and it arrived on the last night of Chanukah!! Extra special and feeling totally spoiled ~ my ONLY bookish gift❣️❣️❣️Thank you sooo much for all the goodies but always for the friendship 😘😘😘
Started this drama-filled chick- lit today!! (Still not my tree, 🤣😂 @cinfhen).
Never before has a book made me question if my yoga pants needed an upgrade...more references to plastic surgery and philandering husbands than my average read, but entertaining nonetheless. I can't help but see Emily Charlton as Emily Blunt, and her bitchy sass is still satisfying. The end raises a few eyebrows with one trivial concern in the spoilers below. #mommyreads #chicklit #ebook
I kinda wanted to surprise myself & like this but there was just so much that I found problematic that I did well to finish it. Eye roll and cringe were my most frequent actions whilst reading it. I can see how it could be entertaining - it's easy reading, undemanding escapism, all sass & snark writing, but ... it's a No from me. And the sex toy party chapter was gratuitous titillation that brought nothing to the narrative - just cringe.
About to start this one. Not my usual genre and haven't read any of the author's previous work. But I like to get out of my reading comfort zone every now and again so I'll give it a try!
Thanks to #netgalley for this book.
I‘m loving this book which is a nice break from some heavier stuff I‘ve been reading.
I recommend this one for those looking for an easy breezy long weekend read!
