This is quite possibly the book series of my entire life lol. I started it when I was 17 years old and it has been a presence in my life in some form ever since. I remember reading about the black characters that went to Hogwarts. This was probably the first magical ‘book world‘ I felt like I could actually be a PART of for that reason. It never quite lets go of my heart and I don‘t want it to. ♥️

Day 2: Harry Potter (completed)
Though they are children's novels, this intricate series never feels childish or cutesy. I don't think I need to convince you to read them, you either decided to do so already or vow to never read them.

pickA series like no other, this brilliant set of novels is worth all their praise and popularity. I regularly start them all over again. The world Rowling has created has permeated into all of our lives, and she is a true master.

We had a spectacular day today, including a surprise trip to the History of Magic exhibit at the New York Historical Society! Lots of Rowling's original notes and sketches mingled with actual magical books and artifacts dating back to the 13th century. It was incredibly well done! NY area littens, do not miss this exhibit!!
You guys!! Look what arrived today! My kiddos usually get a Lego Star Wars advent calendar, but this time they‘re getting mini HP Funkos! I still picked up a Lego advent- this year the hubby gets it. 😃 oh- and I may have ordered myself a Funko advent too. 🤓

You should know that I reread Harry Potter every January (and that isnt changing) but I am about to try audiobooks for the first time with Harry Potter. One of my twitter friends came up with this schedule. We were both feeling the Potter pull so here we go!
My sister is a budding photographer, and she used me as practice. We did four photo shoots for all four seasons over the last two years. Finally did the Summer one a couple weeks ago to finish off the set. Every shoot I brought a Harry Potter book that the cover seemed to go with the season. Here are Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall!
