I‘m up really late tonight wrapping presents, but I‘v had this wonderful book to keep me company. I read this every Christmas, and even though it‘s been years now, I still cry at the end. ❤️
I‘m still doing some #AudioWrapping but I HAD to share my bookish wrapping paper with y‘all! 🥰🥰🥰
I love a good “Christmas Carol” retelling/reimagining, especially when they go deeper into the characters and keep true to the Dickensian spirit (no pun intended), of the original. This one was great. Focused on the impression Marley had on Scrooge in his life & after life.
This is a great holiday-related title that compliments A Christmas Carol quite well. In this story we learn how Marley met Scrooge and influenced his worst characteristics. Most enjoyably, the reader is provided with an account of how Scrooge spent the remainder of his days after the events that took place in Dickens‘ original tale. 4/5 stars

I forgot to post about this probably because it was an audiobook. Absolutely loved this spin-off of A Christmas Carol. It was so beautifully done. Wishing all of my fellow Littens a Christmas full of peace, love, and books! Merry Christmas and happy holidays, friends!
I listened to this one today while I finished up wrapping presents. This is I think the fourth year that I‘ve read this book. It‘s always a great reread around Christmas time. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A great re-telling of ‘A Christmas Carol‘, this story follows Jacob Marley through his career, death and to what lead his spirit to approach Scrooge on that Christmas Eve. Bennett has beautifully blended the original story and text to fit, a little sentimental at the end, but then all good Christmas stories should be. #WinterGames #MerryReaders

This was a reread, and just a good as I remembered. ❤️
I am glad I read this book, but I‘m less enthusiastic about it than a lot of people. I liked the beginning and the ending, but the middle drug for me. Unfortunately, I will miss the discussion for the #marleybuddyead.
What a great retelling of A Christmas Carol from a different point of view. Looking forward to the #MarleyBuddyRead discussion At the end of the month.

#WinterGames #TeamFestivus. I forgot to post these recent finishes. Tim Curry‘s reading of A Christmas Carol wasn‘t bad but I bet there is better out there. I enjoyed reading the Scrooge story from Jacob‘s point of view. The Holiday is always a favorite. 46 pts.

Very much like A Christmas Carol told by Marley's point of view. I will read this again! I don't want to give too much away before our discussion, but definitely read, or l listen to it. The audio was superb.

I'm planning on reading this one Monday when I'm off. I'm hosting a #BuddyRead if any of our team members want to join in, just let me know.
This is not a bad book but there is very little to distinguish itself from the original.🎄
This is the story of Jacob T. Marley and Ebenezer Scrooge, their lives before what we read about them in A Christmas Carol.

This was just a wonderful as I remembered. If you‘re a fan of Dickens Christmas Carol, I would highly recommend this one. And I absolutely recommend the audiobook version, Simon Vance is a fantastic narrator! ❤️🎄❤️🎄❤️🎄❤️
I‘ve been looking forward to rereading this one all year. It‘s finally time. ❤️
This is A Christmas Carol told in the style of Dickens and from the perspective of Jacob Marley. At first, I was a little bored, but once Jacob dies and meets the ghosts, the story picked up and I ended up enjoying it.
Thought I‘d check this out for a holiday read. Last year, I read Mr. Dickens and His Carol.
4⭐️. I enjoyed reading the classic Christmas Carol tale from Marley‘s perspective. It was a wonderful holiday read.
A Christmas Carol had been re-done and retold so many times - and while I love the story, I admit that I didn‘t expect this to be half as fun or as genuinely fresh as it is!! A great holiday listen that goes by so fast you will be ready to listen again while #Audiocoloring or not!! Still set in #London this shows the familiar story from the titular character‘s POV! #DickensianDecember @jenniferw88
The perfect read for this weekend! And narrated by Simon Vance! 💖📚🎄
What a wonderful Christmas treat this audiobook was! Done very much in the style of Dickens‘ original Christmas Carol, this was the story from Jacob Marleys point of view. With glimpses into his life before his death, and his thoughts and actions afterward. As with A Christmas Carol, this is a story of hope, and redemption, and the human spirits boundless capacity for love. I wonder what Mr. Dickens would think of it, but I believe he‘d approve.❤️
Thank you @aschermetz for the recommendation, I had to pick this up on Audible. And it was on sale, so bonus! 👍❤️🎄
This was absolutely delightful. A Christmas Carol told from the viewpoint of Marley. I listened on audio and loved Simon Vance as the narrator! Highly recommend if you are looking for a quick read to get into the holiday spirit.
Started listening to this tonight. It's really good and the narrator is excellent. Told from Marley's perspective, very cool.
This looks like a really cool twist on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Perfect to read (or listen to) this time of year and the audiobook is on sale today for $1.95! #christmas #retelling #audiobook #kindle #sale
