Really enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It‘s very fast patience, things happen before you can even realize it. I liked every character. My biggest problem with this book was that the characters contradict each other constantly and at times I can be very annoying. Besides that, a very solid read.

Ch. 5: written in the 1st person. A bit confusing, initially, since there are 2 protagonists and therefore 2 POVs in the 1st person.

After being exiled for 3 years Kestra Dallsor is finally coming home. Kestra's father is the right hand man to the evil king, Lord Edrick. When a group of rebels intercept Kestra's carriage ride home she is kidnapped. Truths and Lies start to come out who should Kestra trust.

Reading this book now, it was recommended by a friend. I didn‘t know if I was going to like it because I‘m not much of a fantasy person, but I absolutely love this book! The characters are loveable and it is narrated by the two main characters which I personally love. I would definitely reading this book if you like fantasy and action with romance on the side.

Couldn‘t bring myself to finish this one...too much arguing, not a single character was likable. There are many books I‘d rather read.

Picked this one up from the library yesterday for one last #juneread! I hope it‘s as good as it looks!

This book just reminded me how much I like Jennifer A. Nielsen as an author. I enjoyed "The Traitor's Game" and am excited for the next one as we continue to follow our protagonists into their prophesied roles to bring peace back to the Kingdom.

I‘m not feeling this one like the False Prince and that‘s bumming me out.

I wasn‘t familiar with Jennifer Nielsen before I read The Traitor‘s Game. Now I‘m trying to catch up on her other books!😍📚✨🌸

It‘s been awhile since I‘ve posted! But I want to highly recommend The Traitor‘s Game! This book kept me o my toes and had some crazy twists! This is a fast and short Blurb because I am now finally starting #WarStorm !! 🤗

This is what I actually finished up and down to Canberra. A Year 12 student read the blurb and summed it as Games of Thrones meets Hunger Games. Oh so young to be so cynical. This book was pretty good. I had no idea what it was really about before I started reading it. I got 100 pages in and kind of thought about bailing, but just took a couple of days off and once I started reading it again, I couldn‘t put it down!

It‘s definitely set up to have more and I will plan to read them! (Though I‘m really bad at continuing series!)

Um excuse me library, why would you put a stamp on the bottom of the page blocking some words?!

Why wouldn‘t you put it at the end of a chapter or at the top of the chapter in empty space.... common sense. Luckily they didn‘t press to hard to block the words!

5/5 for this beauty. Fantastically paced, written with whimsy & strength. Kestra is a complex character: her heart is strong throughout. Kidnapped by the leader of a rebellion, she has an unexpected reunion w/ her childhood friend Simon. She‘s set on multiple paths at once & new information expands her understanding of the people which she royals.⚔️

Reading a book that is well explained but still keeps the feeling of exhilaration and anticipation is truly a memorable experience. To me that is what this book has been, a memorable experience. I actually didn‘t put this book down from the moment I started it until it was done. The romance was so cute and sweet and I needed more!

I know i had issues with one or two extremely minor things, but overall this was so much fun. Kestra was so headstrong and defiant and wonderful. and Simon?? 😍 He‘s so adorable I couldn‘t handle it.

It kept me guessing until the last page. I still don‘t know how to respond to all of what i just read.

I really enjoyed this book, the setting world building were terrific, the plot was exciting and the main character, Kestra, was resilient and creative. The romance aspect leaned too heavily on insta-love, but was believable. #romantsy

This will be my first March read but this also releases on Feb 27th. I loved the False Prince series so I hope this is good or better 📚

This is such a been there done that cover. It's reminiscent of the BN edition of the Cruel Prince. Plus the sword/ dagger has been seen a lot most recently the now I rise series. Yep. No imagination.
