Enjoying my listen so far. I still haven't actually read Alice in Wonderland yet. I gotta do that soon.

What's everyone reading tonight/today?! 🌙☀️⭐️☁️
Also, does anyone have any recommendations for January's new fantasy releases?!
Starting a new series! 🐛🦋
Full disclosure, it‘s been a while since I bought my copy of this book. As in, still a teenager a while. So perhaps my younger self would have enjoyed it more. As it is, I found the love triangle tedious at best and the MC to be the classic manic pixie dream girl protagonist we all got tired of years ago. Shoutout to the amazing, horror-tinged, creepy version of Wonderland though. It was disturbing and memorable in all the best ways.
Done! I‘d recommend this to anyone who enjoys modern retells. Made me want to go back and reread Lewis Caroll‘s version. Moving on to book 2.
So far behind in this one. #gratefulharvest day 5 prompt: Moon. Some of my favorite moon covered books.
So I started this audio last night. It‘s included with an audible membership, so I figured why not. It‘s a modern version of Alice in Wonderland. The MC great great great grandmother was the Alice who “inspired” Lewis Carroll. Now generations later the family tree is suffering. It‘s is the first book of a trilogy. #impulseread
Book 1 in this Alice in Wonderland retelling. I found this to be clever and engaging. I love the characters and feel this will be a fun series!
@magyklyXdelish I'm so sorry to keep you waiting. I thought I posted this over the weekend and then realized I forgot. I absolutely love everything! Thank you so much!

🐛 a favourite series would be Splintered

Want to play? @Mishu94 @tpixie @curiouserandcurioser @Cupcake12 @Butterfinger
Happy reading all 📖 ❤ 📚
I really enjoyed this and honestly I need to reread it and read the rest of the series.
I don‘t know what to say about this book 1 in a series. A retelling of Alice in Wonderland. At the beginning was so weird, dark, sad, interesting, the middle of the book was meh, with a lot of nonsense battles that seemed forced to fill the story. But then the end was interesting and cute that I want to read book 2. So it goes from ok to so-so 3⭐️I made a bingo with this one #BookSpimBingo @TheAromaOfBooks
Love the covers of this series
I read this book in school and remembered it draaagging, but I flew through this in one day! Not my favourite Alice retelling (Heartless has top spot for that) but I really enjoyed the grungy, scary twist that works so well here. I shall probably read the rest of the series at some point, but honestly I think it would have worked okay as a stand alone. 4⭐

A dark and macabre retelling of Alice in Wonderland, Splintered is great for fans of edgier books. The white rabbit is a skeleton with a flesh eating disease, and wait until you see what they do at a feast. The word twinkle will never mean the same thing to me again. But the story is just as beautiful as it is brutal and I loved every single minute of it.

I LOVED it! So morbid but funny! I liked Morpheus a lot but I loved Alyssa more! She's oblivious at times, awkward, but she's also got a Darkside.
Got my Splintered book series with this beautiful bookmark. Love love love this series yay 🗝🐇🎩🦋🎨 @Jackal121
I love the chapter headers. The purple is a cool touch to the design.
Well this was a definite dud. I bailed after almost two hundred pages. The characters were insufferable, and the writing focused so much on clothing description—ugh, just read Heartless by Marissa Meyer instead.
Now for my next adventure
Well I've just finished the splintered series and OH MY DAYS it was such an adventure! Every time I thought I was working it out the story twists on me again. I was lost between bewildered, scared, laughing, crying and purely captivated with what will happen next. It's over too soon. Highly recommend these. Already got my fiancé @Jackal121 asking to read them and my sister @CymbaX13 getting them. Such a great series 📚❤️🐱🦋🐛🌹🕸️🧚🏻♀️
Yay a sugar glider @Jackal121 love this animal and the truth from this message. Hope your all OK and happily reading ❤️📚🐿️📖
Haha don't we all?! ❤️📚📖🛏️ @Jackal121
OK onto this series my fiancé @Jackal121 picked me to read (as he wants the chance to read it after hehe). This awesome twist tale to Alice in Wonderland. Can't wait to see where this takes me.
I love this book. Anything about Alice in Wonderland retellings, looove

"I've been collecting bugs since I was ten; it's the only way I can stop their whispers. Sticking a pin through the gut of an insect shuts it up pretty quick. "
So starts the first paragraph of the book. That first sentence was enough to make me read the book. I wasn't disappointed.
@Biverson12 Thank you for tagging me for #7days7covers #coverlove. Day 1
Thanks for the tag @Trashcanman 🙂

@jb72 Would you like to join in?
This one wasn't really for me. The romance was saccharine sweet and I couldn't take it seriously. The premise also felt like it was reaching to set up Howard's plot. It all felt forced.
Tbh, I also might not enjoy Wonderland settings. A Blade So Black and Hazelwood both seemed right up my alley, but I didn't end up liking them either. That said, I did like Heartless 🤷🏽♀️
Off to Wonderland for another adventure in retellings
#killingthetbr
Not only is Alyssa Alice's great granddaughter she navigates the twisty world of wonderland as well

Merry day after Christmas!🥰🥰 Happy reading!! 🥰🥰
5/5 *
I loved Alice in Wonderland when I was younger, but I've always felt there were darker undertones to the story and this book really brings them out in the best way possible. This will always remain my favorite retelling!
I really enjoyed this book. I liked her dark twisted take on Wonderland. A fantastic premise with great characters. I really enjoyed this retelling of Alice in Wonderland.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you so much @jillannjohn two of these I know are on my TBR. Not sure on the third but it sounds good too! #SummerSlasherBookSwap
Really loved the descriptions & the author's version of Wonderland. Very different and much darker than the original. MC is Alice's 3x great granddaughter who is on the hunt for clues to solve the family curse. See my review: http://bit.ly/2J6DRyJ #twistedmesses #splintered ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Starting book 3 tomorrow, cant wait to see how it ends. My only real issue is I hate both the love interests. Alyssa is pretty awesome though.
This was worth staying up to finish! What an imaginative, dark, twisted, fun book! I‘m a big Alice In Wonderland fan, and I absolutely LOVED all the references to the original book. I am always drawn to retellings and this one definitely did not disappoint! Can‘t wait to start the next book in the series!
1. Harrison Bakery‘s Half Moon cookies. The best! 🤤
