That's a wrap on the new book!

It's completely different from the Ravenmaster Trilogy - it's an adventure story set in Britain's distant (distant) past. It's called The Last Shaman, it's out spring 2020, and you'll probably hear lots more about it before then :)

I'm very excited about it. Also, it's sunny. ☀️

My historical fiction series #RavenmasterTrilogy was inspired by my grandparents - (left to right) my Grammy served in the Canadian Air Force, Grampy worked at the shipyard; Nana lived in London through the Blitz, Grandad landed at D-Day in a Sherman tank. (All of this appears, in one way or another, in the novels.)

In the last few weeks of writing #AKingdomFalls, Book 3 of the #RavenmasterTrilogy.

I always listen to music when I write, usually classical like Sibelius, Brahms, or - more often than not, the music from the LOTR films - but my favourite song about inspiration (or lack thereof) is definitely Nick Cave's glorious 'There She Goes, My Beautiful World.'
