Major after school special vibes. 📖 ➡️ 📺
A guy-wrenching novel about the unthinkable. Coursing through emotions of grief and what-ifs, this novel really makes the reader think, what if tomorrow isn‘t guaranteed? #Feb.3.7

Wow, this was a gut wrenching book. I didn‘t know anything about this book, besides the Goodreads summary and continue to be more and more affected by and drawn in to the story. As a mother, I would like every child that considers drinking and driving to read this book. It is effective.
I love JLA, not just her books, but as a human she's pretty awesome. And while I love her supernatural books, and really loved her New Adult romances (remember when that was a thing?), I also really enjoyed this contemporary YA novel about a teen who is forced to face the consequences of a bad choice that sadly lots of people have made (and definitely not just teens). Plus, there's her super hot bff/boy next door crush.
I find it so relatable when a author references another series that I love 🙂
This book definitely did not disappoint. It was absolutely heartbreaking but heartwarming at the same time and I don‘t understand how Armentrout can make me feel so many emotions. I fell so hard in love with Sebastian and Lena and just everything about this story and the characters.
Current read: If There‘s no Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite authors so my expectations are so high for this one! Also, the fact that Sarah J. Maas, another one of my favorite authors, blurbed it makes me all the more excited!
I didn‘t end up finishing this book. I got about 1/4 of the way through. It was boring and repetitive. I‘m all for a romance book, but I don‘t want to read 50 times on 1 page about how impossibly gorgeous a guy is and how much the girl loves him but is never going to get him.
I‘m less than 10 pages in, and this book mentions A Court of Thorns and Roses. I️ think I‘m going to like this book.
I organize my shelves by genre. Unintentionally, the first book‘s author‘s name starts with an A and the last book‘s author a Z.
Challenge for hour 36!

When I was 18 the guy I had a crush on died in a car accident because he wasn‘t wearing a seatbelt. This book made me think of that. I still remember the feeling I had at the funeral of what a waste! He was going to be a dr, had gotten into a good school and it was just too soon. There is so little comfort to be had when an 18 year old dies. His sister had a son this year and named him after her brother 💕💕
Well All the Crooked Saints isn‘t capturing my attention so I am turning to this book! My husband made a big breakfast and I am settling in to #NewYearsReadathon.
The book feels like it's off to a slow start, but I get the sense that it's going to pick up soon. I heart JLA so I'm going to wait and see. I'm yet to be disappointed with her, and I have read lots of her stuff.

This book is Very Important. I say it that way, because the author really wants to make sure you know that. She also wants to be sure you know that her character Loves To Read. And that Sara J. Mass is The Best.
Honesty though, this was yet another teen drunk driving book. Before the accident the book was annoying as hell. After the accident it was pretty good, if preachy.
(CONT...)
I was listening to this audio book while sewing at work and heard a noise behind me. Apparently our shop cat, Amber, has decided that my giant tower of projects is the perfect cat bed.
Also, half was through and I still don't know how I feel about this book.

Lena Wise is always looking forward to tomorrow, especially senior year. She‘s ready for as much friend time as possible, to finish college applications. For Lena, the upcoming year is full of opportunities and chances.
Until one choice, one moment, destroys everything.
Now Lena isn‘t looking forward to tomorrow. Not when friend time may never be the same. Not when college applications feel all but impossible. Tomorrow isn‘t even guaranteed.
"Was I a good person who'd just made a bad choice?"
Something life changing happens to Lena and she struggles with this question throughout the book.
Great story with important lesson on how fast life can change with one choice or action. I couldn't put the book down and loved seeing the growth Lena went through.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Library book haul.
Thinking of starting Armentrout's book first.

I found the first section really angsty, high school pointless drama filled, and annoying. But at part 2 I switch from the audiobook and really liked, maybe it was the narrator who annoyed me. But the second part was really good, I didn't want to put it down. I didn't fell like the blurb was trying too hard to mysterious, it didn't need to be a big thing.
Back at happy place @TheBookmarkPR -- they got power back only yesterday. We still have no power at home and had to spend the night at my mom's... but the generator is back up now! Keeping a weary eye on storm Maria... #thebookmarkpr #AfterIrma
