Commissaries Dupin leads a team investigating drowning deaths on the Glénan islands located off the coast of Brittany. Actually, the setting is one of the most interesting things about this mystery. I don‘t know whether it is the fault of the author or the translator, but the language is pretty stilted, and at times flat out awkward. Also really annoying are the excessive typos, sometimes over three per page: unforgivable in the first US edition!

Book 2 of Inspector Dupin series. Three bodies are found on one of the islands on the shoes of Brittany. This area of Brittany has wild swings of sun and storms. Its filled with the myths of the Celts. Were the men shipwrecked or murdered? Great book, thank you @kspenmoll for introducing me to this series! I'm looking forward to number 3💞

I did not make my goal of 5 miles walking this past week.Did about 4 miles. Finished 2 books. Meditated 2x. Joined a yoga virtual class thats meets Sunday morning. Stretches every day.

This is my first morning after a four-day visit of my lovely American family here in Cologne.
I‘m heartbroken & totally relieved at the same time. I am not good with house guests. It all went really well but I get so stressed!!! No alone time 😩 I wasn‘t able to sleep most nights!
And yet already miss them like crazy 🤷🏼‍♀️
Am now enjoying my first peaceful morning cup of coffee ☕️ with a book & soft music 🎶
