Different from all other Ken Follett tomes, this one was of a decent 300+ page size but no less detailed. Exceptional read, strong characters, gripping storyline set in the backdrop of WW2; an epic spy thriller!

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
I love Ken Follett‘s epic historical fiction books, but this was my first read of one of his spy novels.
His easy writing style & commitment to research is still evident here, but for whatever reason this 360 page book was a lot slower read for me than ones that are twice this length.
Not one I‘d turn people away from but also not one I‘d strongly recommend.
@TheAromaofBooks this was my May #doublespin!

Well crafted WWII spy thriller. Follett really delivered with this story. Great cast and nonstop action make this one of my favorites in this genre. Also, the attention to detail, which I have come to expect from Follet, puts this one over the top. 4.5 ⭐️

Catch the spy to save the war: I was weary when one of my book clubs chose this as a pick. It's old. It's mass-market fiction. And, it's historical military fiction, which is my least favorite genre.
I loved it. This is why we broaden our horizons, friends. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ah, Mr. Follett is such a masterful storyteller! What a marvelous, fantastic read! His series are amazing, that I already knew.. but this was just *chef's kiss* phenomenal story, fantastic villain, 5 stars.
Must say, I'm loving Eye of the Needle by Follett. Faber/Die Nadel is a fantastically ruthless character!

Ken Follett is best known for his historical fiction but has also written some great Thrillers too. This one would be one of my favourites. Definitely a favourite author too. Espionage during the Second World War. Who exactly was the Needle? Can he win the war for the Nazis? Who could be his undoing?
The story moves between a german spy and a newly married british couple living on an island during WWII.
My most important takeaway from this book was that difficult circumstances forms a character and brings out either the good or the bad in you.
I've read this soooooo long ago but I still like it very much. This novel is typical for Follett it is very entertaining and well written.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5

Ken Follett does it again, another excellent read which grips you from beginning to end. Great characters & a great storyline that builds tension as the book progresses. Great to see strong female characters too. This centres around preparations for the D-Day invasions and keeping the real plans a secret, as well as promoting fake plans. Enter amongst this the Needle, a top German Spy, can he find out the truth and get this information to Germany,

Continuing #Marchunshelfingreadathon with this Ken Follett book. One of many books I am behind in reading!
Das Buch war sehr spannend, innerhalb von wenigen Stunden durchgelesen. Interessantes Thema und gute Charaktere
“The Needle” an enemy spy, aristocrat, and ruthless assassin. One person standing in his way. A lonely Englishwoman on an isolated Scottish Island who falls in love with him. Another Follett masterpiece. Full of suspense, intrigue, and adventure. Best WWII spy novel. Atmospheric and thrilling. A must read. I‘ve been reading Follett‘s books. Love them all! #Murder2020 7/7
#EyeoftheNeedle #KenFollett
Another solid Follett #KenFollettBuddyRead but not one of my favourites. Sadly, I am pretty much done with WWII fiction, so it has to be exceptional for me to rage about it. Hitler is fully relying on one man, the Needle, to give him the info to beat the Brits. It‘s about the time up to D-Day, and the Needle‘s journey through Britain. Will the Brits catch him or not?
Would it be OK to read this one next for #KenFollettBuddyRead in January (next week!!)? It‘s not the next in line, but I have one of those weird two in one books from the library, so I would have to borrow it again otherwise. Supposed to be another really good one!
If you love thrillers then this one's for you. One of the best spy thrillers ever. Ken Follet will not let you put the book down. I don't want to give any spoilers. You start this book, and you'll end up thanking me.
You had me as 'ocular'. 🤓 Thoroughly enjoyed this read. Easily may favorite fiction of the year, so far. I haven't ever rooted for the enemy this much. Follett created a suspenseful world of espionage that hooked me and left my heart racing at the end. Thought the epilogue wasn't neccessary. I mean if you didn't see Bloggs and Lucy coming, I can't help you. I wanted Faber to win.
Putting it down only refill my teacup. This Follett guy might make something of himself. 😄 #fridaynightreads
Gonna make progress on this tonight! I am very behind on this #coupleread as my bf finished more than a week ago!
