A so well written slow burn in between a love triangle where the heroine is left to choose the right one. O I loved this story back and forth! I didn't like the cover of the book though... you could have a black swan up there in a dark surrounding by two white swans and it'll made the cake but it is what it is. And i must say it is the only critique on this book! Loved it!

It is an enemys to lovers romance an a really enjoyable book too with characters you'll love. The beginning was a bit dry but I guess that is wanted but after that it swooped me off my shoes. Loved the main characters... loved the storyline. The Ending was a bit abrupt but it didn't change my opinion about this book!

Since this book was quite popular on the YouTubes I thought I give it a try. So here are my 2Cents:

I had major issues with the storyline like it was half-baked and half-heartedly. And I believe the most difficult character to deal with was Sarai herself. She is so confusing. Reading it wasn't a struggle on itself but at times it was just nerv wrecking.

⭐⭐⭐ 3/5

Be aware this is a darker romance book, so please use caution while reading.

Dear Ava is a controversial book. The book opens after some pages with the heroine waking up after being drugged and abused at a keg party. And even though there's no description of the abuse it is tense enough to read about it. I gotta say I was sucked in from the very beginning.

The writing, pacing , the description of things, all of the emotions... wow. I loved the strong heroine... damn she got some balls!

This is my first time reading this author. I picked this book out on a whim and I liked the first part of the book...

But then something was just off and the other half of the book felt a bit wrong. I couldn't understand what just happend. I kept rereading hole chapters because i felt like I missed something... I don't know if it was the pace or the writing or just plann old me... I will check on that with another Tijan 😇

The story was beyond everything I thought it would be and I was happy and sad and cried a little and than I was happy again. The pace of the book is really really good and I loved how honest everything was.

Yes this book is a keeper!

This book is so honest about the struggles of a poor family... that's what made this book so intriguing for me. Rico's struggles to provide with her family and their sacrifices really hit hard. I admire how the author wrote about it! There was no big romance to talk about but a really good friendship which made it up to me. The ending was kinda predictable and kinda unpredictable... if you don't know what I mean you gotta read for yourself 😇

This book so fun and adventurous. Reading it was like a fairy tail that could lastet longer than it already had. The characters are so well written. You feel the pain, the love, the agony through the pages.

I took it everywhere with me I didn't care that the book was heavy. I loved it and now since the Corona Pandemic i want to snuggle in my bed and do nothing but to read it again. Maybe i will do that.

The story moves between a german spy and a newly married british couple living on an island during WWII.

My most important takeaway from this book was that difficult circumstances forms a character and brings out either the good or the bad in you.

I've read this soooooo long ago but I still like it very much. This novel is typical for Follett it is very entertaining and well written.

The author tells a horrific story that caused me to cringe, grind my teeth and cry my head out. This book affected me emotionally. But McCourt wrote it in a way that kept me reading.

I read this book way back in the time and I still know how I felt about it.

As depressing as it was I couldn't put it down. I liked the writing... it is mesmerizing.

While I read Uprooted this was the quote that send me thinking almost 2 days... and I still can't answer the question...

Is it important that people around you know the truth or is it an ego thing to know that people know the truth you think is worth knowing...

What do you think?

CaliforniaCay Ooooh deep question. I think truth is important regardless of whether or not people around us know it. Because the truths we believe give us a sense of ourselves and our surroundings. 4y
Yanes @CaliforniaCay you mean it doesn't matter who knows or not knows as long as I know... but what if your closest friend doesn't believe you wouldn't it bother you? 4y
CaliforniaCay @Yanes this is such a hard question! Ok I feel like, if I knew a certain truth, and my closest friend didn't believe me, it would bother me. I would try to make them see the truth but if they still didn't believe me I feel like it wouldn't matter, I wouldn't want to stop believing or try to change my mind to conform to others. I would hold fast to what I know to be true. You know what I mean? 4y
See All 7 Comments
Yanes @CaliforniaCay that's exactly what I thought as well... I said if my friend doesn't believe the truth than it shouldn't bother me and I move on an try to bury my ego... but than after a while for the exact same truth where she didn't believe me she didn't believe another truth... and that's what bothered me.. 4y
Yanes @CaliforniaCay so there's why I am so in between thoughts... 4y
Yanes @CaliforniaCay I know what you mean. That was a really good "talk" ? 4y

This book was recommended to me by my best friend. He said to me you'll going to love this one but guess what happened... I realized after 10 pages this is not what I want to read and I kept not loving it till the end...

I have to admit though... there are some interesting thoughts on the nature of compromise in marriage. But other than that it wasn't for me to enjoy. I wished it ended after 50% but it didn't. Such a slow paced book.

Buechersuechtling I feel you and completely second your point. Hope your next read will be way more enjoyable. 🤗 5y

I am done with the chronicles about Lia, Kaden and Rafe and I gotta say I liked it. I'm gonna miss them! Almost every main character did a transformation... a good one though.

While I read the last pages... I realised that I wished for another ending... an end wich is more real and believable... but it is what it is.

I rate this series with 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Not every book was good... but round about all of them made the cake.

I am reading Oscar Wilde just for fun... the story about The Happy Prince is so wonderfully written. The Prince and his friend give everything they have to the poor people in the village and they demand nothing in return... nobody even seem to care who the giver of the gifts is. That's what makes the story so wonderful... where do you have such unconditional love?

Let's see where this book will take me...

This book is full of philosophical messages, which can be overwhelming sometimes.

Manly this book shows that the actions of our life can be very complex and yet so easy if we follow the desires of our heart. The believe to follow your heart blindly is not the right way to get what you desire the most. You have to think about what your heart truly wants... and than act on it.

Keep in mind... never act or decide on fear.

5🌟 for a genius book.

A bittersweet love story about a young girl who says that she don't want to be put in a cage.

I've read this book many times and saw the movie on more occasion than I could count. And I have to admit I like both versions.

The book version of Holly is darker but she stays true to what she believed in... the Hollywood adaptation gives the viewer what he/she wants... a happy ending.

I didn't know that there are much darker versions of the Grimm Fairy Tales out there. This one however is definitely not for kids!

The images in this comic are more for adult eyes and the retold story is much darker, sexier and more bloody than I would have ever guessed.

I didn't like it much. I stick with the original. So I would not recommend it... however if you decide to read it go for the paperback not the E-book. I struggled big time.
